I don’t mind if someone is upset by a deliberately provocative pastiche of grindhouse sleaze—this is basic Herschell Gordon Lewis stuff and to be expected, and I think any visceral/critical response is a valid one—but some people clearly didn’t take this to heart.

My birth dad lived across a cemetery so when his apartment building almost burned down while I was visiting for a weekend when I was 4, I sat on a curb in the middle of the night staring at a graveyard as firefighters put the fire out. APOCALYPSE CONFIDENTIAL was born that night.
I spend a lot of time and money on @APCON_MAG. I developed the “brand identity” and ran it by myself for the first year as someone without any online indie lit experience. It can be a headache but I love it. Don’t insult me by suggesting I have money/connections I don’t have.
Moving forward, poetry at @APCON_MAG will only be considered during special presentation cycles or by request or invitation.
