This is a WILD STAT. 💥
With RB Lan Larison elevated to the active roster for tonight’s game, he makes *17 UDFA on the Patriots game-day roster.
That’s almost a QUARTER OF THE TEAM. 🤯
*I know they didn’t all start in New England.

Lan Larison was the No. 1 STEER WRESTLER back in high school
Now he’s making plays for the New England Patriots

The #Patriots have elevated RB Lan Larison and P Mitch Wishnowsky from the practice squad
Wishnowsky was expected with Bryce Baringer on short-term IR
Larison, a capable rusher and receiver who can contribute on ST, makes sense as the next man up with TreVeyon Henderson out

This is a great story on @LanLarison trying to wrangle a roster spot from @nicolecyang.
Patriots RB vying for a roster spot leans on his experience in rodeo — yes, rodeo — to make it through training camp. bostonglobe.com/2026/08/27/s…

Lan Larison vs Jam Miller in Preseason Game 1
Miller: 14 carries, 55 yards. Solid runner.
Larison: 7 carries, 1 yard… but 6 (team leading) catches for 38 yards, 40 snaps, kick return work.
While Jam had the better pure rushing night, Lan showed more overall.
🔥 More versatility
🔥 Involvement in the passing game
🔥 Special teams value
🔥 High level pass pro ability
Lan offers a different skillset than Rhamondre and TreVeyon. Jam is one dimensional.

First unofficial Patriots depth chart, so take it for what it’s worth. Hudson ahead of Lomu is how you know this doesn’t mean much yet.
A few things are interesting: Lan Larison at RB3, C.J. Dippre back and listed as TE3, and Kyle Williams getting a look at KR, which feels like a really natural fit for his skill set.
Defensively, I’d expect Jacas and Luketa to climb past Swinson/Holmes, the off-ball LB picture to get younger, and Prunty to jump Dial Jr eventually.

"Lan Larison appears to be an early leader for the third running back role behind Rhamondre Stevenson and TreVeyon Henderson."
To me it's going to come down to the special teams aspect. Vrabel knows what Lan can bring to this backfield and team so I have FULL confidence in him taking this role.

Lan Larison SZN loading… 💪🏼🔥
"He worked really hard to work through the injury and just continue to get stronger and give himself another opportunity going into training camp," head coach Mike Vrabel said this week. "Mentally, he's not a rookie. I think just the experience probably may seem somewhat new to him again when we get to training camp."
@LanLarison ascension is coming… 🤫
