My Thoughts on the Overall Adaptation of #PlsLoveรักได้ไหมFinalEP
I went into Pls Love with so much excitement because I genuinely loved the novel. I never expected a scene-by-scene adaptation, as creative liberties are part of the process. But changes should still serve the story and preserve the essence of its characters. Unfortunately, somewhere along the way, I felt the series lost some of what made the original so compelling. While there were moments worth appreciating, particularly Lena and Miu's chemistry and the supporting cast, the overall storytelling left me wanting more. The eight-episode format didn't help either, as some developments needed more room to breathe.
I also think Channel 3 deserves to be part of this conversation. I can't speak for the decisions behind the scenes, but I do wonder whether this adaptation was given the confidence, creative direction, and support it deserved, especially with its primetime placement. Production involves many moving parts, and one decision can have a domino effect on the entire story, from characterization to pacing and emotional payoff.
I wanted to love this adaptation as much as I loved the novel. I wasn't expecting the same story all over again; I was hoping for a different version that would still make me fall in love with it. Sadly, that wasn't entirely the case. Here's hoping Channel 3 gives its artists and future stories the opportunity and commitment they deserve.

Khun Phakphum’s character has been one of my disappointments in this series, especially because his characterization was quite different from what we got in the novel. In the original story, he’s an understanding father, someone who has also experienced falling in love and knows what it means to choose someone with your heart, just as he did with Pheem’s mother. That’s why I found the series’ version of him a little difficult to reconcile with the character I knew from the book. Thankfully, they were able to soften him a little towards the end.
One of the most touching scenes, even with the rather fast pacing, is when he suddenly recalls Pheem as a little girl before the scene shifts back to the woman his daughter has become today. It’s a simple yet meaningful moment that says so much about a parent’s love. Loving your child also means learning to love and respect the person they choose to love, even when you don’t necessarily agree with their choices.
Think about it: when your child is little and stumbles or falls, you let them learn, pick themselves up, and try again. You don’t take away every opportunity for them to experience life just because you’re afraid they might get hurt. And perhaps that’s what this father-daughter moment is trying to convey. Pheem may no longer be the little girl he remembers, but she’s still his daughter. Protecting your child doesn’t mean making every decision for them. Sometimes, it means trusting them enough to make their own choices, even when those choices aren’t the ones you would have made.
I only wish the series had allowed more of the understanding father from the novel to come through earlier. That would have made this father-daughter moment even more meaningful.

2. Pheem and Pan’s friends are among the ones bringing some much-needed lightness to the heaviness of this series. They may not have the biggest roles, but they certainly make the most of the moments they get. Patcha (played by Prigkhing) is such a delight, especially with her playful personality and the energy she brings whenever she’s around. Thanwa (played by Nitus), on the other hand, continues to deliver as Pheem’s best friend. I like how he adds another layer to Pheem’s world, giving us a glimpse of the friendship and support she has beyond her relationship with Pan.
We also get Techin (played by Smith), who starts out as one of Pan’s clients before eventually becoming her friend. His character adds an interesting dimension to Pan’s circle, and even with his relatively brief appearance in this particular part of the story, he makes an impression. I think it's nice to see how these characters each bring something different to the story, whether it's a little humor, a dependable friendship, or an unexpected connection.
That said, I still wish they had included Pheem’s other best friend from the novel. Just thinking about having that character alongside Thanwa and seeing how that friendship would translate on screen makes me wish we could have seen more of that dynamic.

We’re down to the final episode of Channel 3’s Pls Love, and I have a few thoughts to share. Let’s break them down, just like we did last time.
1. The scene with Pokpong’s boss felt a little too rushed. So much happens in such a short span of time that you almost have to catch up as the scene unfolds. We go from discovering the guy’s obsession with Pan to her brother rushing in, the fight, the head injury, Pheem getting hit several times, and then the police arriving before they all end up at the hospital. I guess that’s the downside of having to fit everything into the final episode.
Then again, with only eight episodes to work with, they couldn’t really afford to stretch the storyline too much. We just have to piece things together and understand that this obsessive guy takes the place of the police character in the novel, as they switched things up for the series.

Not sure if you are a fan or a hater but as someone working in the entertainment industry, all I want is to make people happy through my work. If it has made you feel otherwise, I’m sorry you feel that way.
Regarding the dog and my friends during the trip to Japan, I’ve already apologized to all of them for any inconvenience that my work and I have caused (we are friends and business partners). As for my relationship status, if I’m dating anyone, you’ll hear it directly from me ka.
May you be blessed with love, health, and wealth ka.
