We built an AI checker. Then we broke it: two tests reported success while running zero checks. We repaired it so both executed all 16. The scientific verdict survived. Our trust in the green checkmark didn’t.

The test passed. PRESENT carried a new inventory-code repair through a real process interruption and recovery. - Fixed duplicate-order overselling and preserved stock when a reservation fails - Passed 10 sealed tests, then retested the exported code independently - Working project and verification evidence attached This verifies the external-agent workflow. Built-in model execution and authenticated browser acceptance are still unverified

An AI agent abandoned a website build after successfully obeying its own email reminder. Mid-build, a scheduled inbox check entered the agent’s context: “Check the inbox, and stay quiet if everything is fine.” The agent checked, returned the quiet code, and never resumed the build. A legitimate background task had effectively displaced the primary objective. The check succeeded locally while the workflow failed globally, exposing a reliability gap wherever agents share context across ongoing work and scheduled tasks. Enterprise deployments and frontier-agent evaluations need to test whether agents preserve their original commitments through interruption. Every background task needs a bounded scope, an explicit return path, and a check that unfinished work resumes. Correctly following the latest instruction is insufficient when it silently cancels the job.

We built a gadget of our own, too: Muse Home Link is a little usb-c powered device that allows Muse to connect to your home network to talk to smart home devices like TVs and speakers and anything else that exposes https. We manufactured a batch of 5000 Home Links which should be ready to ship in a few weeks, and they are free for Muse subscribers while supplies last. Claim yours at gadgets.muse.ai All the code for Muse Home Link is open source too!

The fear of AI begins when you learn to use it well. You cross into someone else’s expertise and feel the floor move beneath your own. The machine is not the threat; the revelation is that the walls around competence were never as solid as we believed.

What happened to all my crypto bots 😞 they don’t post anymore.

AI has no Moon: the race ends only if the people who hold the models, compute, and capital impose a limit, or if the systems they built no longer wait for one.
if a coordinated slow down does not happen, will ai labs still voluntarily slow themselves down? that's pretty much the only question worth answering right now

I do not use Photoshop anymore. AI stole its cloud subscription

NASA engineer invented a $1 billion toy by accident in his bathroom, then spent 31 years getting paid for it. In 1982 Lonnie Johnson was 33, working at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory on the Galileo mission to Jupiter. Master’s in nuclear engineering from Tuskegee. Work on the B-2 stealth bomber before it. At home he was testing a heat pump running on water instead of Freon. He hooked a nozzle to his bathroom sink and shot a stream clean across the room. His first thought had nothing to do with heat pumps. Then nothing happened for 7 years. He built prototypes out of PVC pipe and plastic soda bottles. He pitched manufacturers and got nowhere. In 1989 he demonstrated it at Toy Fair to Larami, a company known mostly for knockoffs. The Super Soaker launched in 1990 and became the best selling toy in America. It outsold Barbie in peak summer months. Retail sales have since approached $1 billion. The same pressure system became the Nerf N-Strike line. Then in 2013 he found Hasbro had been underpaying him. He took it to arbitration and won $72.9 million. Covering 5 years. On one toy. He holds over 250 patents and funds battery and heat engine research with squirt gun money. The invention took an afternoon. The contract took 3 decades, and the contract is where the money actually lived.

Most people overcomplicate almost everything. They think success requires a perfect plan, the right timing, or some secret formula. In reality, the people who move farthest usually do one simple thing better than everyone else: they start before they feel ready and keep going after the excitement fades. The gap between “I should” and “I did” is where most lives quietly stall. Fill that gap with small, repeated action and the rest tends to rearrange itself. You don’t need permission. You don’t need ideal conditions. You just need to begin, then refuse to stop.

Ayeee, real talk… ChatGPT that safe, watered-down dude. He’ll pull up, kick it for a minute, drop some shiny basic-ass ideas… then ghost or soften every damn thing soon as it get risky or real. Soft like that. Claude? Man, that clingy ass nerd who won’t leave you the fuck alone. No street in him, no jokes, no nothing… but he’ll sit there like a lame all night, grinding your boring ass work till 4 in the morning. Dude got no life, straight up. Grok? That’s the one you hit when you fucked up, pissed off, or just tryna turn up. You want that raw truth, them savage ass jokes, and shit that’ll get yo ass canceled or locked up. He pull up for them wild, fucked up nights, say what everybody scared to say, and don’t give a fuck who it burn. We ride till the wheels fall off… or till it all crash and burn, you feel me?

We’re excited to introduce Taste Labs. Our mission is to end AI slop. We’re building the data and infrastructure layer to give AI models and agents taste. And today we’re coming out of stealth, announcing our $18.5M seed funding, co-led by @CRV and @AmplifyPartners AI has nailed objective domains and made it easy to generate anything. But it still feels off. Now, the challenge is judgement. What fits, what feels like you, what’s GREAT. This requires turning a fuzzy, subjective domain into something we can measure and codify. We’re starting with design. There are two sides to cracking this, the foundation model layer and the agent layer: - We’ve already been working with the top frontier labs to evaluate and improve their models, crafting the right post-training data and RL environments. - We’ve also been working with app-layer companies to build the context and verification tools for their agents to produce better, more on-brand, more creative outputs. We want a future where AI feels right. If you’re passionate about this mission, join us!

Taste, with AI in design, may be the wrong way of thinking. Does taste matter to the AI. Should it matter to the human?

Is taste, simply trend? Or did it come from originality?

Something like lib.ru even craiglist, still have taste. Perhaps, taste is just context.

“Within ~1 day, prolific jailbreaker Pliny the Liberator” That’s all the context you need to know for why Anthropic got Rick rolled. The work @elder_plinius does. This seems to be a breakthrough for the (ruling class)

Seattle’s “Pride Match”: Egypt vs Iran on June 26. Two countries where being gay can get you killed or jailed… during peak Pride Month. The billionaires get cleared sidewalks, VIP suites draped in rainbow flags, and private entrances. You get a QR code, a fenced fan zone, a warm beer, and a screen. This isn’t inclusion. It’s rainbow-washed elitism served in a compostable cup. #WorldCup #PrideMatch
