More than 60 Christians have been killed in a series of attacks by armed militants across three areas of Ethiopia’s Shirka district in the Oromia region. Local authorities blamed a rebel coalition that includes the Oromo Liberation Army (OLA).
At least five children were among those killed, while 20 homes were burned to the ground. A resident whose 75-year-old father was murdered said armed attackers surrounded the community from all four directions, catching residents completely off guard.

We will never stop fighting for our rights in our country… Today March and March under the SA First forum led by the CEO Mr Xolani Zuma, received a court order confirming that we have been admitted as The Friends of the Court for the Full Bench Matter involving the arrest and detention of Asylum Seekers in South Africa and other applications.
There are two conflicting judgments one by Judge Motha and the other by Judge Wilson (Co-Founder of Seri) and others.
As things stand there are a number of organisations including the United Nations, Lawyers for Human Rights, Kopanang Africa etc. representing Migrants and we are the only Friends of the Court representing the interests of South Africans outside government, probably the first time ever these NGOs are being challenged by a black organisation representing South Africans interests…

Isn't @RediTlhabi the same person who constantly champions the right of Palestinians to have their own state and exercise their right to self-determination, yet vehemently opposes the idea of Zulus or other ethnic communities in South Africa pursuing that very same right?
Ethnic self-determination is as fundamental to the human condition as the need to breathe. The notion that we must all be assimilated into some artificial, homogeneous melting pot is frankly absurd.
There should be room in any genuine constitutional democracy for people to preserve and realise their own cultural and ethnic identities, to determine their own futures, and to freely associate with whom they choose.
Self-determination cannot be a principle that you champion for one group while denying it to another simply because their aspirations don't align with your political worldview.
Ultimately, those most hostile to the idea of national sovereignty and self-determination are often the very same people who champion globalism. And we are witnessing the devastating consequences of that ideology unfolding across the world.
Yes. I know exactly what I am doing. I am stating a historical fact - that apartheid RSA and the IFP converged around ethnic self determination. The IFP was funded as a a conduit for that project. Through its cooperation with apartheid SA, the IFP sought provincial powers and protection for the Zulu monarchy. Any body with a brain knows that many Zulus opposed apartheid. Many opposed nationalism. But it doesn't change the fact that apartheid RSA saw a gap via the IFP and appealed to its Zulu nationalism to seek cooperation. And the IFP itself framed its identity around custodianship of Zulu nationalism.
Zulu and Afrikaner nationalism converged politically in the defence of ethnic self-determination and territorial power.
Operation Manion was explicit in identifying the IFP and the ethnic factor as tools for a larger political project.
The 1991 Inkathagate archive will leave you in no doubt that the IFP's strategy was indeed to mobilize a powerful Zulu nationalist base. I will stop here and you can do your own reading.
