It won’t matter except they’ll be starting over again. Meaning, the wait for what they want in Gainesville just got longer. I’ve said this before and I will again. The @GatorsFB fan base is TOXIC. I’ve known @ScottStricklin a long time and he now must again cave to the wishes of their fans. He better go outside the box for this hire because that’s what it’s gonna take! Fans hate reading the word “TOXIC”, and I get that. Not that many others aren’t, but they fail in understanding the history of their program. In the long history of @SEC Football their program even with their State is the most challenged of any Southern State. Truth is in the years before Spurrier there were no Championships, and that History isn’t recognized whatsoever by their base. AlabamaFTBL owns their State, but there’s some room for Auburn. @LSUfootball is KING and even @GreenWaveFB and the @RaginCajuns have their history and some success. GeorgiaFootball same thing. @GTFootball has room to be good as well, but in Florida there’s no longer just @FSUFootball in the competition for players within the state is incredible.Options are all around you in the Sunshine State. In this era of CFB, it’s not just about recruiting it’s more the bank roll of the school and its donors. Florida as an Institution must make some difficult decisions as to how bought in they are in conjunction with their rabid fan base that’s never pleased! Schools better understand the BRAND NAMES are never gonna dominate the way they once did. Saban read the tea leaves and got out. @Lane_Kiffin has done the same thing and he now knows a place like @OleMissFB can be just as successful but if they’re not in a given year he won’t be hung in effigy! Had @DanMullen_ESPN stayed @HailStateFB he’d already have a statue. He left for the Gators. Now he’s in Vegas making half as much money, but is a helluva lot happier!
