They had to surgically remove a tampon after the r*pe. This is not enough; he needs to be locked up. Some men will defend a rapist more fiercely than they’ll ever defend a woman’s right to feel safe in her own body.

Make this filthy racist coward famous.
His name is Mark, and he violently abused a Muslim woman and her child while they were on their own in the car.

This is what the militia are doing every day in Congo, just because it's not covered by media doesn't mean it's not happening. This is the terror my people are living in. We need to amplify and speak up for Congo.

As Nolan Wells’ family continues seeking answers about his death, I think of my uncle, Reverend A.D. King, my father’s only brother.
Uncle A.D. was found dead in his swimming pool in July 1969. Fifty-seven years later, my family still carries unanswered questions about the circumstances of his death.
There are details that make Nolan’s family’s questions painfully familiar. Both were strong swimmers. Uncle A.D. had a bruised forehead and no water in his lungs. Nolan also had bruising on his head and no water in his lungs or airways. His cause and manner of death remain undetermined.
I pray Nolan’s family receives a thorough, transparent investigation and the answers they deserve. I pray they do not have to live with decades of unanswered questions as my family has.
Grief is already a heavy burden. Families deserve truth, and their loved ones deserve to be remembered for the fullness of their lives.

Congo’s genocide has claimed more than six million lives, while seven million people remain displaced. Over 40,000 Congolese children have been trafficked and forced to mine cobalt. Around 50 women and girls are raped every hour. DON'T STOP TALKING ABOUT CONGO!!
Behind our electric cars and the promise of a greener future are minerals extracted from Congolese soil, under devastating human conditions.
A green future cannot be built on the exploitation and suffering of the Congolese people.

Femicide should be globally considered a crime against humanity.
She had her daughter in her arms...
23-year-old Nathaly Ramirez was killed and her 8-month-old daughter was critically injured when the pair was pushed from a 15-floor balcony at a Bronx apartment building Tuesday.
It happened at 2550 Olinville Ave. in Allerton at 3:38 a.m.
“I heard her yelling and screaming, ‘Please don’t do this, that’s my baby! My baby is scared, look at her face,'” a woman told ABC 7 New York. “That’s when, the next thing you know, I heard her scream and I see something hit the ground.”
Investigators “determined that both individuals had been pushed from a balcony,” the NYPD reported. Witnesses told cops she and the baby had been shoved off.
Cops are looking to question a boyfriend she recently split up with but have not labeled him a suspect. Ramirez’s death has been deemed a homicide by the NYPD but no arrests have been made.
There have been numerous reports of domestic violence at the home resulting in arrests over the past few years.

How did school teach us about the Amazon so much & never once mention the Congo Basin? It's the world's largest tropical carbon sink. The planet is literally breathing through it & nobody thought we should know 😳

Sudan has endured more than three years of war, and millions of people are carrying consequences they did not choose.
Behind every number is a life. A child uprooted. A family grieving. A community trying to survive hunger, displacement, and violence.
There is nothing weak about choosing dialogue when the alternative is more death. Leaders and the international community must pursue an end to the fighting, protect civilians, ensure humanitarian aid reaches those in need, and make room for a just and lasting peace.
We cannot become numb to suffering because it is far from us or because a war has lasted too long. Sudanese lives matter. Human dignity demands our attention.

I will never talk down on Black people. I don’t care where you’re from.
Haiti. Jamaica. Nigeria. America. Brazil. Anywhere.
We have all had to survive systems that were never designed to make life easy for us.
We can disagree. We can correct each other. But I will never tear down another Black community just to make mine look better.
That kind of division does nothing for us.
