Today is a big day at Upstream and Truth Labs (company behind @Goblintown) - I am proud to announce we have officially merged both companies into one - renamed Truth Arts (@Truth).
We have a handful of announcements today + a lot more coming.
Here is a TLDR:
- This has been months in the making, officially closed in January.
- The new combined company will be taking a unique approach to building an entertainment and technology company around the Truth and Goblintown universe.
- As of writing this, we have three video games in development, a content series to be released, a graphic novel in progress, and an exciting software product that we’re obsessed with to be announced soon. And we’re only getting started.
- With the merger today we are also launching something called Operation Resurrection, enabling Truth Labs NFT holders to burn their NFTs for future equity in the new Truth Arts Inc. This offering on @joinrepublic presents a unique opportunity for Truth Labs NFT holders. You can learn more by going to @Truth website and by reading the deep dive blog post there.
- Operation Resurrection has two phases. Phase I launches today. Phase II will focus on enabling community ownership in the IP of the Truth Universe and its characters.
- The Burned Collection is being announced today. Anyone who burns their NFTs in Operation Resurrection (Phase I or II) will receive their art back in a soul-bound NFT using Coinbase’s @base that is non-transferable. This can continue to be used for any future token-gated experiences (along with existing collections).
- The Upstream DAO infrastructure is becoming proprietary technology for the Truth Universe, meaning non-Truth related DAOs will be offboarded from the platform.
- Release of new The187 Collection characters starts today, with future drops for the remaining 156 characters left to be revealed. You can see them on @the187 website.
