I am troubled by Trump. But I’m even more troubled by the Christians who support him.
This is literally the parable of the Rich Man and Lazarus — Trump coldly talking about homeless folks outside his gates, as he leaves for Scotland to dedicate a golf course.
Love, compassion, and concern for the vulnerable is at the very heart of the Gospel.
Follow Jesus. Not Trump.
Stand with the poor.
Stand with the homeless.
Stand with the widows and orphans.
Stand with refugees and asylum seekers.
“If anyone has material possessions and sees someone in need but has no compassion on them, how can the love of God be in that person?” -1 John 3:17

We want the war horse.
Jesus rides a donkey.
We want the eagle.
The Holy Spirit descends as a dove.
We want to take up swords.
Jesus takes up a cross.
We want the roaring lion.
God comes as a slaughtered lamb.
We keep trying to arm God.
God keeps trying to disarm us.
