20 yrs yesterday the 1st same-sex couple, Michael Stark and Michael Leshner, were legally married here in Canada. Like many freedom fighters who came before them, and many who still continue to fight to this day, we are forever grateful that we can live freely and be who we are🏳️🌈
the Fratelli d’Italia, and the Prime Minister of Italy, Giorgia Meloni. Since 2016, we have been in legal proceedings, and 7 years later, the courts ruled in our favour!
This is a small victory for us, however it is a big win for the LGBTQIA community in Italy.
This Fascist government can try to take away rights and silence its citizens, however the gay community is LOUD, PROUD and will NOT BE SILENCED. Thank you Michele Giarratano, Cathy La Torre and @GayLex_it for being our voices in Italy when we could not be there.
