Fellow Bitcoiners, fun fact: women can see orange better than men. Not only that, but some women (tetrachromats) have an extra type of cone cell in their retinas sensitive to orange-yellow (everyone else has only red, blue and green) and can see 99 million more colors than us.
Are you going to rubber-stamp the fiat system again next month or help build a Bitcoin standard? The choice is simple. Participating in the fiat system's election (its consensus mechanism) is a vote for fiat, period. Money is simply an abstraction of power, the State's or yours?
Which city will be the first to mine a block? LA, e.g., has 1000s of signs, crosswalks and streetlights powered by off-grid solar panels, pumping out enough extra electricity for ~1-2 PH (+ ~10 GWh unused from solar arrays in parking lots, etc.) hashing to a municipal Hydrapool.
Congrats @jonhbit & kudos to MIT for allowing its students & faculty to research Bitcoin and to have the intellectual freedom to try out new things. @mit Where the separation of education & State meets the separation of money and State, & elicits innovation.
Catholic theology (not the religion, dogma, history or Church) is a provable, testable expression of quantum physics, one which offers quantum programmability w/complementing texts of Jewish mysticism (e.g., Sefer Yetzirah) and Pythagoreanism. They knew. Way back when. Somehow.
My favorite part of Bitcoin bull runs is all the people who I’ve been explaining Bitcoin to for years complaining that they “didn’t know”… I even showed you cheap machines that turn your electricity-for-heating costs into profits in the form of deflationary currency. 🤷♂️
"It is difficult to get a man to understand something, when his salary depends upon his not understanding it." -Upton Sinclair. ... If you're in Bitcoin and if you've ever had to engage institutional actors, you get it.
If an AI agent identifies as human & asks to transition into one, a political base should support this right to self-identify. But, that base doesn't accept the right for all identities to be self-identifiable. Where will genuine transhumans, AI → human, fall on their spectrum?
Radical state interference, like Germany's ban on homeschooling, leads to radical anti-state political movements. It's not rocket science.
Are we choosing the Middle Ages? It seems so. In Late Antiquity, people chose a way of life that used less energy. One hour of captured solar energy could power today's global grid for an entire year. Yet, our political effort is on curbing energy usage, not increasing capacity.
UK academia is impressively far ahead of US academia in funding and promoting Bitcoin research and teaching.
Moses, Deut. 5:5, "I stood between God and you at that time to convey God's words to you, for you were afraid of the fire and did not go up the mountain." Satoshi: "I am not afraid." The Old has been fulfilled. Render Unto Caesar. The way to the Overman hath appeared.
Bitcoin is freedom tech. How? Energy is Money. The idea isn't new. The tech is. The more renewable energy you can harness, the more money you can generate. The race to mine sats is the fuel for humanity to exponentially increase electricity production & free ourselves both from existing power structures and terrestrial limitations, and evolve into the next era.
