Introducing Magnetar from Microsoft Research, the first zkVM that is: (1) general-purpose (RV64), (2) post-quantum from standard hashes alone (no curves, no lattices, no Poseidon), and (3) built for recursion. Despite its conservative security, it is the fastest zkVM: 7.2–8.7 MHz on a laptop, 10–39× faster than existing zkVMs across 15 workloads! An optimized version reaches 9.5–12.8 MHz. Links in the thread below.

I’ve had a few people write to ask me to follow up on a (reply!) tweet I wrote that’s gotten a lot of retweets. I considered deleting it just to avoid the headache, but I think that would make people more paranoid. So let me share my thoughts.

I think we might lose public key cryptography.

(I'm working on my own reviews this month, and I'll fully endorse when that's done.)

💯 Still plenty of work to do, but it can and must be done. Beyond the UX gains, all Satoshi-derived nodes will continue to require security hardening this year, and spreading out confirmed throughput by 10× would meaningfully harden node security and tx censorship resistance.

Bend 2 is here! It is a new programming language that blocks AI mistakes via *proof checking* - the same technique big AI labs used to solve open math problems, like Navier-Stokes. It is also very fast, and runs on GPUs. Watch the video. Link in the comments.

128 bits of security, under 100KB 🚀
1/ Today we're releasing Lattice Jolt: a post-quantum version of the Jolt zkVM, built on lattices instead of elliptic curves. It's _faster_ than curve-based Jolt and has the shortest proofs of any post-quantum zkVM — under 100 KB. Post: a16zcrypto.com/posts/article…

BCH Pod hits 10k Twitter followers.🔥🧨 Doubters once again in total disbelief.😮 Ty @patriotsounds for final push. 2/3rds progress to 1M (exponentially). 3.5y ago: Selene in quiet MVP dev.🤯 No BLISS, BLAZE, Bullet, ConsensusCash.🫨 100k next. BCH -> Global reserve currency💪
6 months ago, a ""skeptic, not troll"" was "willing to bet" in 6 months the show would have stopped or Youtube subs declined. Of course, they didn't actually put any money on the line - lucky for them cos today they'd have to pay up. Haters gonna hate. reddit.com/r/btc/comments/vg…

Go Taelin! What does it think about proving correct migrations from existing Lean projects to Bend2? One-shot-able yet?

Can we get a multi-model update to /beads-workflow? Or similar? 🚀 (Or are you using /dueling..?)

Have you experimented with more /agent-fungibility-philosophy orchestration, where agents are self-running via /goal and orchestrator is just monitoring for contention? Or is /vibing-with-ntm still your driver? A couple /goal agents seem to help with orchestrator tunnel vision, but I haven't found a balance yet.

Anything in particular you're planning to add before it becomes a daily driver? (Or maybe this is replacing an internal tool you've already been using?)

That'd be great! Are you using ee in the swarm yet? (I'd be very curious to see cross-model learnings from all that formalization work.)
