If your blockchain sync keeps stalling at around June 2024, make sure you're running at least version 10.15. As always, updates are available via F-Droid and Google Play.

It uses the same developer signature via a reproducible build, so you can switch without clearing the app data.

Bitcoin Wallet v7.05 now creates native segwit (Bech32) addresses for new installs. There is a fallback option in the menu for when a sender doesn't support Bech32. Version 7.05 will roll out very slowly, or if you want to skip the line, use: play.google.com/apps/testing…
PSA: There is reason to believe that Google Drive is currently not storing backups correctly. If you selected Drive for backing up your wallet, go to Drive, look up your backup file and check if the file size is not zero (a dash in the web UI). If it is, then redo your backup!

Segwit support will be rolling out slowly with Bitcoin Wallet versions 7.x. If you want to skip the line, enroll as a beta tester here and you'll receive updates in the first batch:

Bitcoin Wallet builds reproducibly since version 6.29 (July 2018). The binary (APK) is verified by F-Droid for each release since then, and it can be verified by anyone else e.g. by using "fdroid build --server de.schildbach.wallet".
. @nimrodlehavi Sorry, we're not interested in credit card integration. Prefer to stay neutral. You can do it yourself, the app is open src!
. @jds_enfp If segwit activates, we'll aim to be compatible. However currently it doesn't look like it will happen.
. @oldPygor Bitcoin Wallet cannot restore from .dat files. We suggest using Bitcoin Core for that.
Everyone: If you have questions about a specific payment, use Options > Settings > Diagnostics > Report and include the transaction ID.
If anyone of you has troubles with syncing (sync problem message at bottom of main screen), please update to version 5.0 and let us know.
