La défaite de Kaido face à Luffy restera la plus grande facilité scénaristique de One Piece ​Kaido est un Top 5 du verse (devant Shanks et Big Mom). Le boug se tape 15 adversaires d'affilée (qui sont tous des niveaux YC1), tank tout le monde, soulève une île entière... et tue le MC 2 fois. Il n'avait jamais connu la défaite de sa vie en 1v1 et selon l'auteur « en 1v1 faut toujours miser sur Kaido ». Il était imbattable en pur 1v1 frérot, mais le même auteur a refusé de lui donner un éveil Zoan alors que Lucci et Kaku y ont eu droit quelques chapitres après ​D'ailleurs Oda a lui-même dit en 2016 qu'il savait vraiment pas comment faire tomber Kaido. La seule solution qu'il a trouvée c'est de le faire tomber par un poing géant rempli de vent et du plot armor en Gear 5 mdrrr ​Sinon je jure qu'un Kaido éveillé avec la régénération d'un Zoan ne tombe JAMAIS à Wano, même si y avait les 3 Yonko en face. Mais l'auteur a fait ce qu'il a l'habitude de faire : toujours forcer le scénario pour faire passer son MC
