This is Brian Booth – the sleepy new Interim Chair @PFEW_HQ. Sleepy Brian was the PFEW office holder responsible for determining my appeal against the Ethics Panel decision of 24 April 2025. That decision removed me as Branch Chair and banned me for life from any Federation representative role after I gave interviews to @GBNEWS and the @Telegraph on 17 March 2025 (while still suspended) in which I publicised my @speechunion crowdfund. The crowdfund was necessary because PFEW and their panel insurers were my sole providers of legal cover – and every single policy explicitly excluded any cover where PFEW themselves were the perpetrators of the unlawful conduct I was challenging. I lodged the appeal with Sleepy Brian (via the PFEW Governance Team) on 12 May 2025. Between naps, it then took him until Friday 21 November 2025 – over six months later and the week before my judicial review was due to start – to respond. This came via an email from PFEW’s solicitors saying Sleepy Brian would “shortly” provide me with a summary of the legal advice he’d been given so I could comment before he made his decision. Suffice to say, I never received any such advice. Then, on the morning of the first day of the judicial review (Tuesday 25 November), Leading Counsel for PFEW informed my counsel on an open basis that the Removal Decision had been withdrawn and was no longer effective. PFEW itself accepted the decision was unlawful. In effect, it never happened. I wish the 147,000 shafted members all the luck in the world with their new dynamic National Interim Chair 😴😴😴 Graphic courtesy of @fact_hunts

Care to comment on this @MPFed ?
A trusted insider to Met Federation affairs has contacted Whistle with some interesting information… One of the three anonymous complaints in @mpfchairman case was non other than region 8 National Board member Belinda Goodwin.

Why have you declined to comment on this person @PFEW_HQ he is after all in charge of your members still
Don’t forget that Chief Constable Craig Guildford still needs to be sacked. It’s pathetic that he is still in his role.

Is this factually true @MPFed

Well looking at the expenses of CEO stooge Matt Cane, Met Fed’s General Secretary, it appears not.

People in the UK should be allowed to listen to political leaders of whichever party make speeches, & people can form their own opinions James O'Brien constantly talking over & slagging off Kemi Badenoch speech @LBC to try stop people listening is a disgrace to UK media #OBINGO

Don’t worry everyone knows the ceo of federation earns 12 times that salary @PFEW_Whistle
“There’s no way I would join the force now on £27,000. “I would think, I’m not going to live on the breadline, get 7 bells kicked out of me and get no support." Together, we can stand up for hardworking officers like Kelly. Join our virtual picket line today👇 #CoppedEnough

Anyone else see the irony in this post ? Clearly the CEO didn’t see it !! £360k a year???
Imagine risking your life daily, only to feel undervalued and underpaid. This is the reality for police officers, and many are leaving the force as a result. 📢 It’s time to demand fair police pay #CoppedEnough

I wonder why @policeconduct have turned off the comments . This has all the hallmarks of a Steve Noonan clusterfuck investigation
IOPC concludes Met officer should face misconduct hearing over #ChrisKaba shooting After thoroughly reviewing the evidence we've concluded that the case continues to meet the threshold which requires Sergeant Martyn Blake to attend a misconduct hearing ▶️rb.gy/jd2sgy

A thread every @MPFed member should read. An insight as to why @MPFed have ignored a Branch Paper suggesting the Branch fully support its elected Chair @mpfchairman and fund his legal defence against the erroneous allegations levelled by @PFEW_HQ… allegations which the @metpoliceuk have confirmed do not amount to Misconduct… and why, the branch social media accounts have yet to share Ricks crowd fund request to support him in, in what is no doubt, an incredibly stressful time. The decision to vote against the paper and in doing so against the Branch Chair ought to prompt some serious questions by the membership and the branch council. @Brick_Cop @UKCopHumour @CopsAgainst
Hugely concerning update from today’s @PFEW_HQ National Council meeting where they voted on the Appendix 9 mechanism. Firstly, let’s remember we are dealing with a staff association here. Sometimes it is easy to forget.
