Fine, fine. My kink is happy surprises that are slightly out of people’s comfort zones. The thing they never knew they always wanted.

I bought this amazing blouse and when I tried it on my teen commented that the ensemble was “very Lwaxana Troi.” Which he thought should be cautionary, but I was pretty excited about.

I have lived long enough to have a “I do what I want, and I’m not seeking your approval” vibe. Total win.

New blog! Is your online presentation accessible? Our guide covers best practices for speakers, slides, and settings. With advice from guest star @ChanceyFleet. bit.ly/3JziWiN #Presentation #Zoom #MicrosoftTeams #DigitalAccessibility #Accessibility
Describers rejoice! Fewer keystrokes, faster #AudioDescription. It’s the little things that can have big impact.
#AudioDescription just got easier thanks to a NEW feature at #YouDescribe: streamlined track labels! Now describers can highlight text in the script, then select inline or extended and the track is labeled! No more superfluous typing (unless you really want to).
On National Assistive Technology Awareness Day, thanks to #NIDILRR and @NARICInfo for funding and spotlighting Dr. James Coughlan and Brandon Biggs's Audiom project, which applies audio display conventions from gaming to make web-based maps more accessible! #AT @SKERI_RERC
For National Assistive Technology Awareness Day we'll be spotlighting some of the cool #AT research and development projects funded by #NIDILRR starting with this cross-sensory map project from @SKERIResearch ski.org/project/audiom

My cat dying under my office chair as I work from home pretty much captures the whole mood of 2022.

I gave her some pain meds (absorbed from the oral mucosa, nothing by mouth) she had leftover from surgery three years ago and she stopped yowling and panting. It’s the best I can do without vet support.

Took her to the kitty ER in the sunset. They would not let me be with her, so she died in an unfamiliar place, surrounded by strangers. My sweet girl.

I cried today because the cleaners killed the spiders in my bedroom. They have been there quite some time, happily keeping me free from mosquitoes and flies. I don’t have window screens, so a good balance of spiders is important.

What happened last night at the Oscars didn't upset a lot of white people because of the "violence." It upset us because it disrupted the comfortable tradition of allowing Black people to exist in white spaces and be violent ONLY according to our terms and expectations.
