Expanded exemptions for big oil refiners would undermine Iowa farmers and biofuels producers and be a major step in the wrong direction. I’ve reached out to the White House to urge them against new exemptions. Earlier this year, the Trump Administration released the strongest biofuels blending targets in history. This is already driving new demand for Iowa ag products and bringing millions in new investments in our rural economy. We should build on this progress, and I will continue to relentlessly advocate for Iowa farmers and biofuels producers.
