The price of an ultra-premium domain isn’t determined by traffic, comparable sales, or appraisals. It’s determined by the operator who sees their future in it — and has the conviction to act.

Big win last week 🎯 Helped a well-known domain investor acquire a jaw-dropping one-word .COM via GoDaddy Domain Broker Service (DBS) as their buyer's broker. 1 unlisted, dormant gem of a domain. 8 phone calls. 21 emails. 38 days of steady back-and-forth with lawyers and owners. Deals like this remind me 👇 🗨️Patience builds trust. 📞Consistency builds confidence. 💡Vision turns “maybe someday” into “let’s make it happen.” Opportunities like this are rare - but they still happen when both sides stay professional, patient, and realistic. Grateful to close our first deal together on the buy-side - and already working on several more acquisitions together 🚀

If you'd like to be one of the first people to use GTDN.com then give this a like/retweet and follow @GetThatDomain. I'm planning for an initial BETA launch on Oct 1st. Shortly after we'll be pushing this pretty heavily to end-users/collectors/builders etc.

Hi Dan, It’s very important to decipher between a cybersquatter (illegal) and a domain investor (Bona Fide Business). You simply should not be conflating the two. It’s common misinformation so often people make this mistake. Perhaps you can edit the article to rectify this. Your example of the TM lawyer squatting on HarrisWalz.com is indeed self proclaimed cybersquatting and severely frowned upon within our industry and @ICADomains. On the other hand Bona Fide Domain Investing is a very real investment for many individuals and entities. There are millions of valuable domains owned by investors that don’t infringe on trademark rights. For example, Gold.com was sold by an investor for $8.5 million USD this year. This is NOT cybersquatting.

Just had a domain in my account triggered for Fast-Transfer Opt-In... at a price that I didn't set. Afternic needs a comprehensive change log for audit and activity alerts.
This 'Activity Log' on GD should be enabled across all domains - not just for domains using paid Domain Protection. Should be one on Afternic as well. Having an option for the log of updates/changes to be delivered by email would be handy too (instant, daily or weekly)

IP Attorney John Berryhill successfully defended the RedFig.com UDRP. This was a nice win for a domain investor and will be a helpful decision to reference: domaininvesting.com/redfig-c…

Wish there was more sales data out there on the high-end for premium one word .com. Unfortunately 95% are under NDA and never get reported. I can confirm that Yolo.com sold for $3m (I was involved as a broker) in late 2021. @DNJournal

Since I don't have the same retweet requirement as @GeorgeKirikos, I can reveal what I found regarding ai․com. I strongly suspect that the owner of ai․com is a person named Arsyan Ismail. The ai․com domain is using Cloudflare nameservers, the pairs of which are fairly unique and automatically assigned by Cloudflare. A search of available zone files yielded a list of approximately 338 domains using the same pair of nameservers. I ran those domains through the bulk WHOIS lookup tool at @domainIQ_com. A quick scan of the domains and owners made it fairly obvious who the likely owner of ai․com is. Based on WHOIS info, Arsyan also owns a․ai, another great domain. From my observation and experience, domains within the same Cloudflare account usually have the same nameservers, but it is possible to have different nameservers assigned to domains within the same account (according to Cloudflare's documentation). So while I think it's very likely that Arsyan Ismail owns ai․com, it can't be confirmed 100% by nameserver information alone. Interestingly, the data to figure this out has been available for nearly two years.

I am 99% confident that I’ve uncovered the true owner of the elite ai[.]com domain name. If this post gets 100 reposts within 24 hours of this post (i.e. by 4 pm on Monday, August 7, 2023) I’ll blog my research. 💯

I just discovered another 7-figure domain name deal. It took a lot of sleuthing to figure this one out! I'll spill the beans once this tweet is retweeted 100 times. (Likes don't count towards the 100.) #IsItWorthARetweet #YouAreGettingThisResearchForFree

I believe Piracy.com and Patterns.com listed on Sedo today may be stolen, but haven't been able to confirm with past owners. Both recently transferred from NetSol to BizCN and look to be listed by the same seller on Sedo.

A coincidence perhaps, but something to be aware of if you are considering buying. Patterns.com was listed first @ $17.5k. Then Piracy.com listed at $19k and repriced to $17.5k within ~30 minutes.

Beaming .com is likely stolen. If you're the one that bought it on Sedo, you might want to put the brakes on that transaction!

I received a thank you message from the owner today and confirmation that he's regained control of the domain.

It looks like beaming .com is back in control of the previous owner. It had transferred to Sedo yesterday, but whois now shows the prev owner along with an updated admin email. I contacted the owner about it on 7/3, but never received a reply.
