I’ve followed Elon for a long time. He has a well established pattern. When he wants something - he uses his platform on X to spread FUD in order to get it. Right now Elon sees massive amounts of money to be made in the exponentially growing demand for compute. And compute needs power. Contracted and permitted power. And there ain’t no municipalities who are going to approve an Elon Musk data center in their backyard. So he knows he has to go after companies that already have it. And so his playbook (which conveniently comes at a time when the neoclouds are reeling in the market) is to spread as much fear and negative FUD as possible to try and drive down the costs of acquiring that contracted and permitted power.
But if you are able to see through Elon’s FUD, you’ll also see a guy who recognizes the obvious. The demand for contracted and permitted compute power is growing many times faster than that power can be built. So common sense tells you that strongly favors the companies that have it. $IREN for example.
And with $IREN in his backyard already - they are a particular target of his ire. But they are so far ahead of his nonsense that he really needs to focus on the no name struggling neoclouds.
Warren and Sanders should stop spewing their wealth tax nonsense and instead go after this sort of despicable behavior. Much better and moral way to spread around wealth than the communist ideas they are propagating.

What a sad loss for Indian science and Tamil Nadu. Vaiko (irrelevant political party leader), SP Udayakumar (claim to fame opposing Kudangulam Nuclear power plant), MK Stalin (then opposition DMK leader who eventually became the CM) and the NGO Poovulagulin Nanbarkal’s Sundararajan were at the forefront of destroying this great opportunity. Jayalalitha was ineffective in making this happen. Edappadi had no clue or understanding. When Stalin became CM, he closed the project forever.
A scientific initiative that fell a victim purely to politics.
Sundarrajan & co kept saying repeatedly that Neutrino research was only to create atomic weapons just because Matscience was the primary scientific institution in charge of the project and it was funded by the Dept of Atomic Energy. They found some silly research paper ronsupport their claim.

After this year's Nobel prize, I can't help but think of the India-based Neutrino Observatory which was planned to be built at Theni, Tamil Nadu in the early 2010s but never happened due to opposition from certain politicians and activists, some of whom spread the false rumor that neutrino radiation would be harmful for locals.
