This gives me the excuse to say that they should just called him Marvelman & it would've gone over much better. He has the power of the original character w/ none of the connection to the Miracleman version, so call him the OG name! Moore only changed it so y'all wouldn't sue!
I'm not gonna lie the more they release about this the more I'm interested in it. Like I can kinda understand how this is a celebration through exploring something new with the 8th Doctor. I just really hope they are willing/able to keep this team to a mini-series.

ALT The cover art by Sean Longmore for "Doctor Who: Fear the Reapers". Alfie, Chase and the Eighth Doctor stand in front of a blue and red cosmic background filled with lightning, explosions, the TARDIS and the Reapers. They're really creepy.
I'm glad Gwithian is willing to speak out publicly about this. It's good to have someone from the actually cast that understands where the consumers are coming from & is willing to bring it up directly like this. Makes total sense that you are a 12th Doctor companion my guy.

Anyone buying the 11th Doctor CD willing to sell me just the exclusive 11 & Eleanor timeline poster? Serious enquiry. Big Finish should think about selling merch like that by itself.

To compare her with her dad, Kate feels like if the Brigadier never went through the development he had in the 3rd Doctor's era & just kept occasionally showing up in the same manner & characterization he had in the 2nd Doctor's era. We need to see her develop as a character.
Still mad they didn't have the balls to put Colin in his original costume for both Power & the Tales from the TARDIS. They still have Davison walking around with celery & McCoy in the ? jumper, but I'll never see Colin in that rainbow coat again & that makes me quite sad.
As hyped as I am for this, it does feel weird to me how much the lead up is focusing on Chase as the 'new' companion when we know nothing about Alfie as well. I know he's been 'travelling for a while', but he's brand new to us. Would like to get to know him some more!

I just don't get why it had to be a regeneration at all, he literally just could've ended it like classic did. No stupid plot of sacrifing The Doctor to make Belinda a single mom w/o her consent and instead just have him jump into the TARDIS onto the next adventure.
An example of said frank and honest remarks. Believe me, hearing it in Russell's own voice is even heftier.

I've been seeing takes like this a lot, so this isn't aimed at OP directly but did she really not have 'none of the defining aspects'? She literally calls herself the Doctor, has a police box TARDIS, & goes around helping where she can. Those seem like THE defining aspects to me.
Surprised to see that this is coming out in November! I wonder if it was planned or recorded ahead of Circuit Breaker, but Big Finish had to hold off on it until the story was done. Either way quite excited to get back to Fugitive's good storyline.
🎁 NEW BOX SET INCOMING! 🎁 Three thrilling new adventures for The Fugitive Doctor featuring Daleks, the Arkiris Tiger and a mind probe*! Click bgfn.sh/wildlederer to read more on the Big Finish website.
*no, not the mind probe!

Genuinely disheartening how open he is about how this decision had nothing to do with the story of Miracleman at all. At least Doomsday Clock had SOMETHING to say about the story of Watchmen, this is just like 'I needed to make my OC more powerful & no one was using the IP'.
1. Please God make it animated
2. I don't see how there is going to be much to explore where it doesn't end up just constantly illuding to the future. Like is it a buddy cop thing with him and Sinestro this time until he turns evil?
Genuinely surprised Big Finish have seemingly never tried to get him to be their recast for the 1st Doctor. Took me literal years to learn that the line in DotD wasn't from the original series, but instead his impression.
I find this take funny because they legit asked Chibnall the placement & he told them to leave it vague. THEY are the only ones who are adhearing to the 'authorial intent' y'all bring up so often & people still get mad. It's why I only count their audios for her as canon now.
I really think that DC should take their Earth 4 even further than just a Watchmen stand in and add variants of Captain Marvel & Anarchy to be their stand-ins for Miracleman & V. Also adding a Constatine & Swamp Thing in for good measure.
It's hilarious seeing Darth Vader and a Cybermen just hanging out in the corner together. Ross DID NOT want to draw them.
