I think one of the biggest mistakes ever made, arguably in American history, was not putting Donald J. Trump in jail for the crimes he committed.
The consequences of today are a direct result of the failure to imprison him for his 88 criminal charges.

USAID saved 92 million lives since 2000. It cut deaths of kids 32% & overall 15% in partner countries w 0.3% of the US budget. It was arguably the most effective agency in govt. To no surprise, your destroying it and slashing aid is a human catastrophe. thelancet.com/article/S0140-…

Independent analyses estimate that your actions to dismantle USAID and drastically reduce lifesaving foreign aid have already killed 700,000 people. Here are some of those people. 🧵xitter.cf/elonmusk/status/206944…
All DOGE required was contact information of the recipients to confirm that funding was not fraudulent. No validated medical funding was stopped.
Anything that appeared to be legitimate lifesaving funding continued and is now administered by the State Department.
If anyone had actually died as a result of DOGE, their names would be worldwide headline news!
On the other hand, USAID did help fund the Wuhan Virology Institute, which caused the deaths of millions, and the revolution that started the Russia-Ukraine war.

BREAKING: Iran says the US has agreed to pay $300 billion in reconstruction funds directly to Iran as part of the deal Pakistan announced, alongside the release of $24 billion in frozen funds with $12 billion released before negotiations even start, per Mehr News.
This directly contradicts Trump's & Vance's claim that no funds will be transferred to Iran at all.
If Trump denies this is true, there never was a deal. If Trump confirms, the US has fully capitulated to Iran's demands.

Instead of regime change, we’re giving Iran $300 billion in reparations and letting them keep their uranium.

My SpaceX IPO take:
1. SpaceX’s near 100% reliance on government contracts before Starlink makes the company’s success less cool
2. Reusable rockets are amazing. Such a powerful moment when that was demonstrated for first time.
3. Starlink is amazing too and now accounts for most of their revenue.
4. Tesla is more impressive as an accomplishment because it was a consumer driven success from beginning to end that was less dependent on government money (though still was)
5. Most people don’t understand that you need to allow people to become rich. Otherwise there is less incentive to work hard and invent. If your country blocks this, these talented people will otherwise leave your country or channel their talents into being a mob boss or corporate/government cronyism. It’s better to explain this to people who don’t understand it than to shame them.
6. Cool that so many employees became rich at the same time.
It’s an amazing human accomplishment and a testament to America’s greatness but, I dunno, it feels overrated and fake somehow, so I can’t celebrate it as much I might’ve a few years ago.

There is a historical constant: no amount of wealth can liberate a third-rate thinker from intellectual envy or from the deeply degrading sense of scholarly inferiority -- that feeling of impoverished erudition.
No amount of wealth.
