My new doco on Catapult crime. Keenly felt as I reportered, shot and edited it all myself. That said, I have one hell of a team behind me keeping it all on the rails. bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/m0…
The three people nearest me on packed commuter train to London Charing Cross are all reading actual books! Many more I can see too. How wonderful!
Not me, I’m doom scrolling. Obviously.

Our statement today on @bbcrussian journalist @oivshina being designated a foreign agent by Russia's Justice Ministry. Last week our colleagues @lotareva3 and @akozenko were also added to the foreign agent list. Proud of them and of all our courageous team at BBC News Russian.

One of the best things about the T20 finals day @VitalityBlast at Edgbaston is the sporadic and spontaneous cricket that breaks out in the stands between games involving fans of all teams. 😂🏏🌤️

Far too many women have been on the receiving end of harassment, abuse and violence for far too long.
With violence against women and girls declared a ‘National Emergency’, we need our male allies to stand up and call out troubling behaviour when they see it.

1 in every 69 people on earth - 1.5% of the population. This is #RefugeeWeek. We need to change the conversation about those #forcedtoflee. Everyone deserves to feel safe.
The number of people #ForcedToFlee their homes has increased every year over the past decade.
It now stands at the highest level since records began.
This cannot continue to be a trend.

ITN, Sky and plenty of other broadcasters and newspapers prefer not to call Hamas ‘terrorists’. The BBC gets the heat because ministers know this plays to a particular school of thought in the Conservative Party.
Replying to @JohnSimpsonNews
What major broadcasting organisation wouldn’t call Hamas exactly what they are? That’s the real issue here. 🤔

A true great man. Great dad. Great actor. Great athlete. So much fun to be around always. Smart as hell. Loyal as hell. Funny as hell. Loved his sons more than anything. What a guy!! Everyone loved him. My wife and I had the best times with him every time we saw him. Love to his entire family and Carl will always be known as a true legend.
Person opposite me on train starts taking to me about what they’re doing in Leeds this weekend. I joined in enthusiastically. Three full answers (with jokes) later I realise they were on phone with their earbuds in.
The whole train heard.
I cannot look up or meet anyone’s eye.

Much like Twitter, it was fun while it lasted with @FilmicPro .
They had a great team, generous with their time & fun to be with in person. I hope the next chapter for @mythicStallion @KiloSBB & @novusbarham et al is as productive as this one. (@bendingspoons must be mad, btw)
Filmic's parent company Bending Spoons has reportedly laid off all of Filmic's staff.
