Read Krystle Matar. Read Angela Boord. Read K.S. Villoso. Read Ben Galley and Tao Wong and T.L. Greylock. A self-published book is not a book that couldn't get a traditional deal. A self-published book is not lesser. We're not just the rejects waiting for trad-pub validation.

Short of ending up bedridden for a month (*knocks on wood*), I don't think there's any way I'll catch up on my reading goals for this year. Blah.
Dang it, Costco was out of motorized shopping carts today, so I guess I'm sitting in the car until my partner is done shopping alone. :/ First time this has happened, admittedly, but it's a stark reminder of the limitations of accessibility that disabled people face.

Though I guess it does give me more time to read, so, silver lining.
In 7th grade, my teacher told the class that nobody really knows what lightning is or why it happens. Teachers don't have to know everything, but I worry about the state of the 1800s textbooks they must have studied from.

This is the whole POINT of the CE's work: to make sure the author makes a conscious choice and knows WHY they did a thing a certain way.

Oh good. Our dryer seems to be broken. Again. We can't afford to keep dealing with so many broken things. Not with necessary vet appointments and rising costs of everything and me not being able to work. Some days I wake up and I just want to cry over how useless I am.

The world treats disabled people like shit, and life is so expensive, and I'm told over and over that I have the right to feel like I can contribute, but those same people who say that are the ones blocking me from being able to feel like I can actually contribute.
Was going to write a review on Friday, but it turns out I was given the wrong release date for the book I just read and it's not due out until October, & I was entering a pain flare so I couldn't form decent thoughts anyway... Hopefully I can write 2 in the coming week, instead.
THIS DUDE HAS WRITTEN A WHOLE ASS TRILOGY AND IT IS SO FREAKING AMAZING I CANNOT EVEN SO GO SUPPORT HIM AND STUFF.
The Threadlight series is officially complete! A huge thank you to the early readers (4.92 on Goodreads!?) and the many authors who have inspired and supported me along the way. To celebrate, you can pick up the whole series for less than $5! amazon.com/dp/B086GL9KHT

So far I'm enjoying Spinning Silver more than Uprooted. At least there haven't been any characters who've pissed me off yet, anyway.
