I STRONGLY condemn my brother's deplorable and untruthful remarks last week about Covid being engineered for ethnic targeting. rfkhumanrights.org/press/sta…

I am very sad to report the passing of Jules Konopinski yesterday at the age of 93. He was the last surviving person who was a member of both the 43 Group and the 62 Group, and the last surviving of the 43 Group's great street fighters.

The Republican party wants you to know that the student loan cancelation will cost $400 billion over the next 30 years. What @GOP don't want you to know is their tax policies from just January 2017 - January 2021 cost America $2 trillion in 1 year and $7.5 trillion in 4 years.

Today, some of the books that shaped my life—and the lives of so many others—are being challenged by people who disagree with certain ideas or perspectives. And librarians are on the front lines, fighting every day to make the widest possible range of viewpoints, opinions, and ideas available to everyone.

Shame on you. I’m so fucking sick & tired of u blaming America bcuz RUSSIA invaded a sovereign nation. Ukrainians have died defending their country. Ukrainians have died bcuz RUSSIA killed them. Not us. RUSSIA. RUSSIA has targeted civilians & committed war crimes. Shame on u.
Hundreds of thousands of Ukrainian youth have already died because America's foreign policy establishment manipulated their country into war to fulfill vain + futile geopolitical fantasy. Now, rather than acknowledge failure, Biden admin prepares to sacrifice American lives too.

Marjorie Taylor Greene just said that Kevin McCarthy promised her she’ll soon be appointed to the House-Senate conference committee on the defense bill. Why is Speaker McCarthy continuing to elevate and promote this pro-Putin MAGA extremist? Outrageous!

Old: 2-3 extreme Dems supporting defunding the police. New: the vast majority of House Republicans support defunding the police. Disgraceful!

These are Putin's GOP supporters in the House of Representatives. 70 out of 222! that is, one-third of the republicans in the House serve Putin/the Kremlin & not the US. How embarrassing for Reagan's former party!
These 70 House Republicans voted to prohibit ALL aid to Ukraine. Vote them OUT.

Iowa is one of the states that is frozen at the $7.25 minimum wage -which disproportionately affects women.

Trump’s presidency was a four-year stretch of scandal, hate, and hypocrisy. Biden’s on the other hand has been a period of growth and rebuilding. It’s clear which candidate is fit to lead the nation.

If a large criminal organization was in Congress, how would they act? They would attack the DOJ, attack the FBI, do everything to protect their boss. How is that different from what the GOP is doing?
Trump has turned the Republican party into a mafia that will work to protect him at all costs by going after every political institution that threatens his power. Today, Trumpism is the Republican party. @StuartPStevens has more on @AliVelshi.

If you are complaining about Miss Universe Netherlands, then meet transgender Canadian beauty pageant contestant Jenna Talackova. Jenna is a Transgender woman. 11 years ago, in 2012, she was approved specifically by the owner of the Miss Universe Pageant to compete. Who was that owner? You guessed it. DONALD TRUMP It gets even more interesting, however. After making the decision, Trump was asked about it, and said: “I said we have 58 contestants in Canada, I said let her run and maybe she will win and if she wins, she will go to Miss Universe. And I think I made the right decision, I feel fine with the decision.” Later, a woman named Olivia Culpo ended up winning the Miss USA Pageant in 2012, and upon winning, she made a statement explaining why transgender women should be able to compete. She stated: “I do think that that would be fair [for transgender women to compete], but I can understand that people would be a little apprehensive to take that road because there is a tradition of natural-born women. But today where there are so many surgeries and so many people out there who have a need to change for a happier life, I do accept that because I believe it’s a free country.” Trump was asked about Culpo’s statement in 2012. He seemed to entirely agree, saying: “She gave a great answer, a very tough question – on transgender – just the question everybody wants to hear, and she gave a great answer and she really did a great job. Her answer was a very intelligent answer and that’s one of the reasons I assume the judges picked her.”

Are we willing to risk soldiers lives for @TTuberville @SenTuberville ‘s political grandstanding? His obstruction is already undermines national defense and will soon impact operations. National defense is a matter of life and death. Tuberville’s actions can cost lives.
The current Marine Corps commandant is required to retire on Monday, but due to a hold on hundreds of military promotions by Sen. Tommy Tuberville, there is no confirmed replacement. If this continues, other branches will face the same problem soon. to.pbs.org/3ptx2yw
