The review was written by the same Hindu-hating sepoy, Siddhant Adlakha. Someone who uses terms like “violent Hindutva” will obviously have a problem with Ramayana.
With Ramayana: Rise of a Legend, a majestic epic falls victim to clunky action, eye-sore CGI, and awkward AI lip-syncing in what is, unfortunately, just a Part 1. Our review: bit.ly/3WW1Rfh

Dear RWs, you may not like Ramayana or even hate it, it's ok. You may want to criticize and not watch it, that's ok too. But please do not use urban naxal Siddhant Adlakha's review to prove your point. Read his views on SRJB, hindutva, BJP at least.

This massice critic of the Ram Mandir in his review of Ramayana: - Ranbir has a quasi-religion fandom - Movie has been courting Hindu nationalist factions - Movie refers to myths as history - Extremists have turned against Ranbir - And that is a religious faux pas How seriously do you take @SiddhantAdlakha?

Siddhant Adlakha hates Hinduism, Hindutva, BJP and everything that's happening in India right now. Do you want me to post his thoughts and articles? Bad choice by @IGN to get such a politically biased free lancer to write a review of an Indian film.

This is very shameful, it's a movie if you don't like it don't watch it. If you want to criticize, criticize but why do you need to review bomb something that you have not even watched
A massive wave of negative review bombing hit Ramayana on Letterboxd, forcing the platform to remove all reviews, including genuine positive ones, and disable ratings for now. It’s shameful to see fellow Indians going to such extreme lengths to degrade a film even before giving it a fair chance. Criticism is one thing, but organised negativity just to pull down Indian cinema is on another level. 💔

Another review from the #Ramayana world premiere is out! The epic Rama vs Ravana battle is getting attention, and the end-credit cliffhanger has also caught the reviewer’s eye. The excitement keeps building. November 5 can’t come soon enough!

This is a much bigger movie than RRR, but it's also such a rich and complex story; I'm not sure my brain could handle so much information at the early hourI saw it. Still, if I can find time to watch it again once it opens, I will. Saw it in English, and that was perfectly fine.

I mean, I thought there were aspects that were more epic than the Lord of the Rings, 300, and Titanic all put together, so hopefully, Americans will give it a chance. Going up against Godzilla is tough.

Apparently, many in the RW think they’re serving the cause by running down the greatest attempt to give our epic an international platform, BEFORE it even releases. Nice. Bohut krantikari soch hai, next time they should crowdfund to make a perfect film with perfect artists.

Unreal hate for Ramayana. This is disgusting to see. Hate towards Ranbir, Yash or any other actors is still understandable but how can one hate a movie which they haven't even seen yet. Pathetic people.

Stop nitpicking. If we don't support movies like Ramayana then, we'll forever be stuck with slow mo elevation limbo. Time for Indian cinema to go on a global scale!

I am not a film critic. I am one of the mango people of this country. And yes, I am a great admirer of both our epics, the Ramayana and the Mahabharata. I have not watched Ramanand Sagar’s Ramayan during its original telecast because I was not born then, but I have watched its reruns. Having said that, I grew up listening to the stories of the Ramayana and the Mahabharata from my grandfather and parents. I have read Valmiki Ji’s Ramayana and am currently in the process of reading the Mahabharata. Personally, I find myself more drawn to the Mahabharata than the Ramayana. So, when Adipurush was released in 2023, I supported it, even after seeing how bad the VFX was. Even after watching Ravana flying around in what looked like a Dragon-Bat mutant, I continued to give the film the benefit of the doubt. I watched the movie in theatres with the original dialogues, so you can imagine the pain I endured! And today, when someone from our own country is attempting to bring the Ramayana to the big screen on such an epic, grand scale, why are we spreading so much unnecessary hate? Let us come together and celebrate this film. If this movie glorifies Ravana, as many people fear it might, I promise you that I will be among the first to call out the makers. I will not hesitate to criticise it if it misrepresents our epic. But judging a film and spreading hatred even before its release is neither fair nor wise. Films of this scale are not made every day. I supported Baahubali and RRR in the past. Today, I am supporting Ramayana, and I will support Varanasi. Because these are not just movies. They are a representation of India to the world. They showcase our stories, our imagination, our culture, and the scale of cinema we are capable of creating. #RamayanaMovie #RanbirKapoor #SaiPallavi #Yash
