Asad Aliweyd, the spokesperson at Wednesday’s press conference, is the executive director of a nonprofit ordered to repay $1.1 million to the state for “fraudulent claims,” according to KARE 11’s own reporting. This was not mentioned in any Minnesota mainstream media report from yesterday, in case you were wondering.

One year ago today, Tim Walz announced his (soon to be failed) run for a third term. That day, Amy Klobuchar praised Walz as an “incredible leader” who “delivered” for Minnesota. Apparently, Klobuchar thinks record breaking fraud, high taxes, and falling school rankings makes Walz’s policies “incredible.”

When U.S. Attorney Andy Luger was prosecuting and exposing fraud cases, I went to the top of the Justice Department to make sure he had the prosecutors he needed to go after these criminals. As a result, the Minnesota U.S. Attorney’s office got the biggest increase in prosecutors of any office in the country. While others were just talking about fraud – I took action.
