Late post, but had a great time @japansociety for their Bizen and Setouchi Pottery and Food Festival. Loved learning about this unique style of unglazed pottery from Bizen. We enjoyed sake and Bizen oysters, and came home with a Bizen sake cup. 🍶

Lawson's "transparent flan" comes in a clever package. When you first pick up the product with its stark white label, it seems to only say, “Can you see it?” Tilt it into the light, and the words “transparent caramel-flavored flan” make themselves known.

Toyama has been listed in The New York Times “52 places to go in 2025”! Toyama city, the gateway to the Noto Peninsula which was devastated by an earthquake and torrential rains in 2024, is still in the process of reconstruction, but is attracting tourists as part of its recovery effort. The article introduces the “Toyama Glass Art Museum,” designed by world-renowned architect Kengo Kuma, the “Owara Kaze no Bon Festival,” which is held every September and attracts many visitors, as well as bistros, Izakaya, and coffee shops in Toyama City. Please check out the following links for more information of those spots introduced in this article. We look forward to seeing you in Toyama in 2025! nytimes.com/interactive/2025… Toyama Glass Art Museum | Attractions | The Official Tourism Website of Toyama "Visit Toyama" visit-toyama-japan.com/en/pl… Etchu Owara Kaze-no-Bon(To be held in 2024) | Events | The Official Tourism Website of Toyama "Visit Toyama" visit-toyama-japan.com/en/fe…
