When is the period 2019 to 2026 going to be examined. It's unlikely that there were not many more breaches.
For anyone who's forgotten the charges for Manchester city
54 charges: Failure to provide accurate financial info, 2009-2018
35 charges: Failure to cooperate with investigations, 2018-2023
14 charges: Inaccurate player/manager compensation reports, 2009-2018
7 charges: Breaching PSR regulations, 2015-2018
5 charges: Failure to comply with UEFA rules
Official verdict: Man City have been found guilty in 114 out of 115 charges
At this stage, the profession is disenchated with both the process and the NCCA. If the Dept insists on proceeding the outcome will be failure. "Successful & sustainable improvment can never be done to or even for teachers. It can only be done by and with them." (H & F, 2012)
It wasn't just you. Amorin was young in management terns but ws a man of charcater, vision and courage. The courage was too much for Wilcox & Co.

AI was not on anyone's radar when senior cycle redevelopment was started. If it was just starting now, with what we know about AI, I believe that AACs worth 40 percent would not be even considered. There is just an unwillingness by the dept to accept that landscape has changed
Manchester United managers since Sir Alex Ferguson:
Moyes — Couldn't handle the pressure.
Giggs — Never the answer.
Van Gaal — Football belonged in a museum.
Mourinho — Toxic ending.
Ole — Vibes and nostalgia.
Carrick (2021) — Caretaker.
Rangnick — More excuses than solutions.
Ten Hag — Lost the dressing room.
Van Nistelrooy — Caretaker.
AMORIM — THE ONLY ONE WHO DESERVED MORE TIME.
Fletcher — Caretaker.
Carrick (2026) — Living off Amorim's groundwork.
Amorim was the ONLY manager brave enough to challenge the culture, confront the dressing room and demand a complete reset. He wasn't trying to paper over the cracks and wanted to rebuild the entire foundation.
United didn't sack a failed project but sacked the man who was actually trying to fix it and some of you celebrated.

A farm which runs an egg honesty box in Maynooth in Co. Kildare, have taken to social media to upload a video of thieves taking a number of trays of eggs without paying for them.
Dunne's Farm Pastured Eggs took to social media to make people aware of the thieves and post said the following:
"This week on
“People pretending to be honest”
"2 more vermin who have been hitting us quite regularly. But this time we have the proof.
"We know you live in Clonee and only we are to busy to call and on you and collect either the money or claim the produce back…..
"I bet your husband will be mortified when he sees this🤭
"We think ah good shaming is in order!
"In fact the daughters egg carrying ability is worthy of a job!
We would be thankful if you shared so we could get a name for these two.
"They aren’t welcome back at Dunne’s farm and be sure to remind them if you see them🕵️
"For the record…
When we post these videos,
"We’re not looking for pity, sympathy or anything of the sort.
"We run a farm, we work hard, and unfortunately there will always be a certain type of people who think it’s perfectly acceptable to take what doesn’t belong to them.
"We just happen to believe that in a fair and honest world, dishonest behaviour should have consequences — and sometimes a little public embarrassment is one of them".

As I outlined in my book, the Vatican Pimpernel. the Monsignor did not talk or write about his wartime efforts. He did his duty as he saw it at the time. Delia Murphy constrained somewhat by the fact that her husband was an Ambassador and she didn't publicise her role.
It is telling that Yad Vashem @yadvashem has never recognised Monsignor Hugh O'Flaherty and Delia Murphy's joint role in helping to save more than 5,000 Jewish lives through their Rome Escape Line network during the Holocaust in Italy.
Seems they don't like Catholics?
Argaubly the longest standing weakness in Irish education-- official acceptance of "out-of-field" teaching
The Irish inspection regime does not have the problems of ofsted. However, it's about compliance rather than improvement. This taken together with other weaknesses means it's not a great model from which to learn.
theguardian.com/education/20… The best way forward would be to commission a high level review of @Ofstednews by the @OECDEduSkills, made up of two OECD experts & two Chief Inspectors from high performing countries such as Ireland that approach inspection in a different way focused on improvement, and/or even someone from high performing Estonia that abolished inspection in favour of building trust. @LucyMPowell @BeatrizPont @SchleicherOECD @TeacherToolkit @_bigeducation @ViviennePorritt

🚨🗣️ Matthew Syed (English journalist) went HARD against Pep Guardiola about Manchester City's case:
"Either Pep knew about it—in which case he is neither a visionary nor a legend, just a fraud—or he didn't know, making him incredibly shortsighted."
"I mean, I’m no forensic accountant, yet I’ve been questioning City’s financial arrangements for over a decade, despite facing constant insults and threats. And Pep didn't see a thing? Is he blind?"
In general, I agree teachers should be teaching and not fulfilling admin roles. However, HSCL is one appropriate exception imo.

Absurd waste of scarce good teachers to have them do non -teaching jobs and also pay them more as an incentive to
Abandon their classrooms as home school liaison officers! @CSSPA4
🚨 Sir Alex Ferguson on Manchester City being found guilty of breaching the Premier League’s financial rules:
“I read the news and the first person I thought about was Carlos Tevez.
Funny, isn’t it? After all these years.
We wanted Carlos to stay. David Gill spoke to his representatives, we made our offer, they said we’d left it too late and eventually he went across Manchester.
Then City put up that bloody ‘Welcome to Manchester’ poster.
I remember looking at it and thinking, ‘They haven’t just signed one of our players. They want us to know they can.’
That was when I called them a small club with a small mentality.
But there was something else happening around that period that people forget.
Suddenly City could walk into conversations for players that previously would have been choosing between United, Chelsea, Arsenal, Madrid, Barcelona.
I remember one summer hearing that Adebayor had agreed to join City, then apparently his people were still contacting us and Chelsea.
I thought, ‘What a strange situation. Players who would rather be somewhere else are signing for City anyway.’
At the time, you simply accepted that they had enormous financial power. You competed with it.
That’s football.
But if you then discover years later that rules were being broken during the period in which you’re trying to compete with that financial power, you’re entitled to look back differently.
Because people will say, ‘Ferguson was just angry because City became successful.’
No.
I was angry before they were successful.
I was standing there in 2009 watching them take Tevez, chase players everywhere and put his face on a building to celebrate taking him from us.
Imagine telling me then, ‘Alex, one day the Premier League will investigate how all of this was being financed.’
I’d probably have pointed at the poster and said, ‘You might want to start there.’
And that’s the part people miss when discussing what happened afterwards.
Once you change the financial strength of one club, you don’t only change that club.
You change where players go.
You change what everybody else has to pay.
You change which manager gets which footballer.
You change title races before the first ball is kicked.
People can spend the next twenty years asking whether this player would’ve joined United, whether that player would’ve joined Chelsea, whether somebody else would’ve gone to Arsenal.
Nobody can prove those alternate histories.
But I know this much.
When I was fighting them, I thought I was fighting Manchester City.
Apparently I should’ve brought an accountant.”
