I have had people tell me that I am lucky to have the unintentional weight loss.
Kate Middleton's appearance -- as one of the most photographed people in the world! -- is proof that you can't tell someone has cancer (or is on treatment) just by looking at them
Her weight has fueled all sorts of speculation, and unintentional loss is one sign of malignancy (caloric balance can shift unfavorably on both sides: less intake with appetite suppression, more consumption by hypercatabolism)
But even once systemic therapy begins not all chemo causes hair loss, vomiting, or immunosuppression
I often tell my trainees that, in the oncology waiting room, they may not be able to distinguish the patients from their caregivers!
So once again we shouldn't leap to conclusions based on superficial judgments, whether it's celebrities (see also: Chadwick Boseman) or our neighbors
To quote Philip Larkin:
We should be careful, of each other, we should be kind
While there is still time

Thanks @StevenBartlett for such a great discussion on #DiaryOfACeo of how lifestyle modifications can impact brain health. The take home message: moving more and sitting less is one of the key pillars of preventing cognitive decline as we get older.
Out Now: The Brain Professor reveals why this common treat may be deadlier than smoking! 🧠
Professor @DavidRaichlen is an expert in Human and Evolutionary Biology at USC.
An incredible honour to be able to dive into HIS brain to truly understand the vital link between physical activity and brain health.

So the virus that causes COVID has the ability to hide from your immune system and mutate in different parts of your body. Places like your nervous system, gut, and more. So you'll have a negative PCR test and everything but your body is actually still being EFFED UP, BAD 😭😭
