Team “solVR”: a tool for visualizing solar glare in #VirtualReality. Consolidates multiple experiences including parametric sliders for window opening dimensions, window treatment, tabletop models of floor plate, & #dataviz to understand experience throughout a space #beyondAEC
Team “Fresh Plan”: a vast survey of computational approaches to Lab layouts including @KangarooPhysics, loop packing, “polyomino” (first time hearing this term for most in the audience), & evolutionary algorithms #beyondAEC
Team “Trash Panda”: mitigating construction waste by optimizing materials through multi-objective generative design. Showcased specific use case of @DynamoBIM + Optimo to minimize gypsum board cuts & proposed suggestive interface [Justin, Susannah, Brian, Ali, & Matt] #beyondAEC
Team “Hypar Grocery Store Configurator”: utilizing multiple Features in the @HyparAEC platform to lay out an entire grocery store complete w/ shelving, back of house, check out stands, parking lot, & more. Fully parametric & rapidly updates from user interaction #beyondAEC
Team “Dynamo Pack & Play”: enabling @DynamoBIM multi-user collaboration by storing entire script & associated metadata within the .RVT file including list of custom packages used, author, date created, Dynamo build, etc. [@JacobWSmall & @clooz] #beyondAEC
Team “Game Footage”: reverse-engineering @AutodeskRevit Journal files to evaluate Warnings & commands executed in order to better understand user behavior & create opportunity for suggestive modeling workflow enhancement [Nick Bowker & @don_kordeone] #beyondAEC
