Did you know that D.E.B.S. premiered 20 years ago at Sundance? One of my all time favs because it allowed itself to be silly, sexy and fun, at a time when still much of the narratives about queer women were heavy and tragic.
This award seems kinda made up but it doesn’t mean it isn’t deserved. “Barbie” is a triumph on every level.
Barbie is the first-ever winner of Cinematic and Box Office Achievement at the #GoldenGlobes! Congratulations 🫶

Iman Vellani about the toxic voices always trying to spoil others’ fun:
"I had a lot of experience in high school alone when I would share my excitement with someone, and then they'd immediately shut me down for being so excited," the 21-year-old recalls. "I would hate to see that within the fan community as well, because it does feel awful. If people are excited about something, let them be excited about it. And if you have constructive criticism, voice it — but never be the wet blanket on someone else's excitement."

Marshawn Lynch improvised most of his lines in #Bottoms and took the role to 'rewrite one of his mistakes' with how he handled his sister coming out as a lesbian
"I did not handle it right. As a 16-year-old boy, I didn't handle it the way that I feel I probably should have. So I told her it was giving me an opportunity to correct my wrongs"

The expression “call a spade a spade” comes from the work of Plutarch, who originally wrote “call a fig a fig & a trough a trough.” Figs & troughs were crude slang for the Vulva, so what Plutarch meant was “call a c*nt a c*nt”. When Erasmus (1466-1536) translated Plutarch’s work & changed it to a garden spade to avoid embarrassment.
#ALeagueofTheirOwn is special. Its first (and hopefully not last) season is a must-watch. Whoever you are, whoever you hope to be, this show will inspire you to find your team.
