What do you see in those frightened eyes?
Fear, pain, incredulity, grief? How could she understand why her forest home was burned down? Why the air was suddenly suffocating toxic smoke? Why her family was burned alive?
Do you understand why we destroy everything precious and irreplaceable for short term profit—and reward the destroyers, not the protectors?

This polar bear died of starvation in its homeland, which is supposed to be teeming with prey. Photographer and biologist Paul Nicklen, who has spent more than 30 years in the Arctic, says that during most of those years he only came across one dead polar bear, and then within just two weeks his team found two that had died of starvation. Polar bears rely on sea ice to hunt seals, and with rising temperatures and receding ice, the search for food becomes longer and more difficult, potentially ending with some of them dying of hunger.

This is heartbreaking 😭
Fires are destroying forests in Borneo and orangutans are being left with nowhere to go.
They’re wandering aimlessly in search of food as their habitat disappears around them.

The maximum sentence for animal cruelty is way too low. Laws need to change. These vile monsters are receiving the equivalent of a slap on the wrist for the most horrific crimes against baby animals. Let’s hope something really bad happens to them in prison.
Monkey torturer who ran online 'cult' that dressed animals as babies and fed them into blenders is jailed for less than four years - and will be out after serving just one-third of that trib.al/l3Zi91x

TWO of Exmoor's finest stags were chased to exhaustion and killed on Saturday by the Devon and Somerset Staghounds at Simonsbath. It's come to us that even some hunt followers are complaining that such magnificent animals were targeted. So much for "deer management".

Mauricio no es un paraíso para todos.

A chain around her leg. Concrete beneath her feet. Four walls defining her world.
A young elephant who should know family, companionship, affection and the freedom to simply be an elephant.
Instead, this is what we preserve in the name of tradition and culture?
Tradition should preserve our heritage & not an animals captivity.
If a practice requires another living being to surrender its freedom for our celebrations, ceremonies or nostalgia, we should be capable of questioning it.
Culture can evolve without disappearing.
Animals shouldnt have to pay for our refusal to evolve.
