💯 need for chief pharmacist in DoH for strategic leadership. Must have responsibility for whole profession to ensure Irish pts benefit from optimum use of medicines across whole spectrum of acute & community settings (as per CPhO in our neighbouring countries) @IrishPharmacy
The IPU is calling for the appointment of a Chief Pharmacy Officer as a matter of priority. Ireland is out of line with countries like the US and UK who employ such a person.
