Anthropic: Here's an omniscient God for $20.
Everyone: meh. sometimes it says "load-bearing"
What's the right analogy here? Not quite bike shedding. Maybe Rivian turn signal being a little loud? Moses going to get the 10 commandments and the people deciding to worship the golden calf?
Nice work to the Google Messages team for adding full suite of emoji reactions to the Messages web UI. It's the little things!

Not Dehli, not Beijing, not LA. Madison WI. As long as we continue to burn oil and natural gas wildfires will only get worse and ruin our summers. More EVs, more heatpumps, more solar can't come quick enough.
The new ChatGPT mobile app audibly belly-laughing at my jokes (and the "hahaha" not being in the chat transcript) is unlike anything I've experienced. Is it baked in the model? Explicit feature of the mobile app? I'd love a tech talk by the engineering team that pulled that off! @romainhuet or @dkundel can we make it happen?
game recognize game !
Congrats to the @OpenAIDevs team on the big ships today - a ton of work to pull all of this together (API, apps, everything in between), and the 5.6 models seem really solid.
This is a fun week! Fable authored my estate plan and now running adversarial reviews with GPT 5.6 Sol Ultra, Meta Muse Spark 1.1, Grok 4.5. Very different feels than code reviews - healthy mix of verifiable citation, interpretation, legal prose, judgement, and risk.
Fable observation: it *loves* to write Python code to edit documents/prose instead of just generating output tokens and saving into a file. Esp when there's a bunch of docs to edit. For example:
$ python3 << 'PYEOF'
import pathlib
def sweep(files, reps):
for f in files:
p = pathlib.Path(f)
t = p.read_text()
for old, new in reps:
assert t.count(old) == 1, f"{f}: {old[:50]}"
t = t.replace(old, new)
p.write_text(t)
print("OK", f)

Used Opus 4.8 in a /loop to do adversarial review of some legal documents last week. Looped for a few hours until we got to 2 consecutive passes with zero findings. Today I asked Sonnet 5 the same and it found 17(!). That was really surprising.
"How many of you are running Claude Code right now?"
