.@jk_rowling I’m divorced now so fuck you for that. Also, are there any trans people at Hogwarts? You’re the worst. You preach inclusivity while spreading hate. Kids look up to you, idiot.

@jk_rowling my wife said there are no Jews at Hogwarts. I’m a Jew so I assume she said it to be the only magical 1 in the family. Thoughts?

To clarify: 1. I don’t blame JK Rowling for my divorce . . . I blame John Grisham. 2. My ex wasn’t antisemitic. We were just one of those normal, healthy couples that didn’t like each other. 3. If I’m being honest, I don’t really know what a Hogwarts is. Sounds spooky though.

Also, here’s a good thread on the idiot.
This is a bizarre but incredibly important interaction for understanding how JK Rowling's mind works post-radicalisation, and how cult movements and extremist groups are able to function in conflict with seemingly undeniable reality. A small thread 🧵

If tonight is proof of anything, it’s proof that anything is possible. It’s proof that we can build a Chicago as big and generous as its promise. And it’s proof that City Hall can truly belong to the people. Tonight is just the beginning. Thank you, Chicago. Let’s go. 💪🏿

I will continue to speak for the families who are seeking justice around the world— whether they are displaced in refugee camps or hiding under their bed somewhere like I was. I didn’t come to Congress to be silent. I came to Congress to be their voice.
Rep. Ilhan Omar speaks ahead of the vote to oust her from the Foreign Affairs Committee: "My leadership and voice will not be diminished if I'm not on this committee for one term. My voice will get louder and stronger...take your vote or not. I am here to stay."

I joined some of our unhoused neighbors this morning as the city threatened to sweep their tents on the Northwest Side. Those with few resources have to fight so hard for the bare minimum in Chicago. It shouldn't be this way. Housing is a human right. Leaders need to act like it.
A protest is being held to stop the removal of a homeless encampment underneath the viaduct at Hirsch and Monticello in #Chicago. @CDRosa @Brandon4Chicago @AnthonyJQuezada gathered with others. More on the @WGNNews midday.

Today’s Winter Assembly was nothing short of amazing! Students: Sam on vocals (just came to this country last year), Dorian on piano, Davion on drums & Hayford on Sax. Staff also accompanying. What a way to kick start the Holidays. This is NLC! 🎷🥁@network14cps @ChiPubSchools

Naomi Watts’ character in The Ring really doesn’t seem to vibe with her son. I love this scene where it’s like they are exes who have just run into each other

i can’t tell y’all how many boys i’ve had balling their eyes out in my office when i gave them permission to feel anything but anger. this is why i really don’t play about kids. they deserve to be protected. they deserve space to feel. to be full human beings.

For Yaritzel Zavala, the day of Northside Learning Center High School's prom was a tad bittersweet. “We get to be in our comfort zone here. Everybody in this whole school, we consider each other family. And we have to support each other as we grow up.” bit.ly/3aBJEf5

I mean, I call my 7th graders my little lambs and my 8th graders my baby birds which has the benefit of being gender neutral AND they absolutely hate it. 💛
Question from a pronoun frustrated educator: “But what is a gender neutral way of greeting a room of students?” Me: “Hello everyone” 🫠
