We at @CWarchitects are delighted to be working with the Government Architect of NSW, and a stellar group of architects, developing a diverse range of housing type Patterns. A great team and a great process that will benefit all of NSW.

A favourite detail in #Gadigalstation in Sydney’s new metro are the timber seats & matching resting rail, which contrast beautifully with the arched white wall panels.
Everyday amenity, warmth & tactility - popular too!
Bravo @FosterPartners & @COXArchitecture

0 - the # of affordable rental properties for someone on Youth Allowance.
47% - % of 15-24yr olds who come to homelessness services & need long-term housing. Only 4.3% get it.
Our youth deserve better.

Dr Michael Zanardo, an architect & urban designer who specialises in affordable and public housing, said Sydney “absolutely needs to build more public housing, soon and at volume”.
“When it was completed, Greenway was seen as a real achievement and a sign of progress. Would we build Greenway again quite like this today? Probably not, but there are some excellent lessons there for future projects,” smh.com.au/national/nsw/from…
@MichaelZanardo is right - if we are going to fix this problem we need to get our skates on - start now and keep on going.
