this is actually insane
> be tech guy in australia
> adopt cancer riddled rescue dog, months to live
> not_going_to_give_you_up.mp4
> pay $3,000 to sequence her tumor DNA
> feed it to ChatGPT and AlphaFold
> zero background in biology
> identify mutated proteins, match them to drug targets
> design a custom mRNA cancer vaccine from scratch
> genomics professor is “gobsmacked” that some puppy lover did this on his own
> need ethics approval to administer it
> red tape takes longer than designing the vaccine
> 3 months, finally approved
> drive 10 hours to get rosie her first injection
> tumor halves
> coat gets glossy again
> dog is alive and happy
> professor: “if we can do this for a dog, why aren’t we rolling this out to humans?”
one man with a chatbot, and $3,000 just outperformed the entire pharmaceutical discovery pipeline.
we are going to cure so many diseases.
I dont think people realize how good things are going to get

🧵[2/n] How BEAVER Works ⚙️
BEAVER systematically explores the LLM's generation space:
✅ Tracks ALL possible outputs
✅ Prunes early violations
✅ Maintains certified probability bounds
BEAVER brings formal guarantees to LLMs while scaling to modern billion-parameter models.

🧵[1/n] The Verification Gap 📐
LLMs induce a distribution over all outputs.
As they're deployed in real-world systems, practitioners have only relied on sampling, benchmarking—methods which only give "vibes" for safety and security.
❌ No guarantees ❌
BEAVER changes this.

🚨 Can we truly prove that LLMs won't leak your data or generate unsafe code?
Almost all LLM safety evals today only give estimates.
Sampling. Benchmarks. Leaderboards.
Zero guarantees ❌
We present BEAVER, the first system to provably bound LLM constraint satisfaction.

The signal at the end of raj bhavan road towards racecourse is always on MNL after 8am. Why is this happening? There are many such cases across the city.
Benjometry retweeted
The management is absolutely useless there is no way the signals are operated 90% by the new VAC protocol. MNL is useless because the officers don't co-ordinate with the other signals. What's the point of the VAC? @blrcitytraffic @BlrCityPolice @DKShivakumar @CMofKarnataka
Hon’ble @CMofKarnataka I m sorry but you have the worst traffic management, and most irresponsible, useless traffic police. They don’t even pick up phone calls, here is the SS of my attempt to speak to them , none of them picked up my call. Last one hour we are stuck at same place in Rajkumar samadhi road, going to miss flight, tomorrow I have to attend parliament session. Not a single police man is seen around
These inefficient officers are enough to spoil the name and charm of this beautiful city. No doubt now Bengluru traffic has earned the reputation of most notorious traffic @CPBlr @Jointcptraffic

If you want to understand why India has failed to industrialize, read this interview with Ha-Joon Chang in Frontline.
Chang points out that India’s business and finance elites don't want industrialization — and that they need to be repressed for industrialization to occur.

After a year of scientific scrutiny, a rock sample collected by the Perseverance rover has been confirmed to contain a potential biosignature. The sample is the best candidate so far to provide evidence of ancient microbial life on Mars. go.nasa.gov/4n35lVM

ALT A self-portrait photo of the Perseverance rover on the surface of Mars, taken with a camera on its robotic arm. The six-wheel rover sits in a rocky desert landscape. Its robotic "head" is pointed down to one rock where there is a small hole drilled, along with a small pile of light-colored tailings from the drill.
