The Brewers are playing small ball, in that they're bashing the hell out of the small ball over the fence to score runs

Drop whatever you're doing, folks
We're kicking off this Chaos Tuesday™ with a new bracket of the most embarrassing Yankees moments of the Aaron Boone era. There are 32 embarrassments coming from across 4 regions: October Nightmares, Boone's Brain, The Front Office, and Other Insanity That Sounds Made Up.
Be sure to vote early and often as we narrow things down to identify the single greatest embarrassment of the Boone era! We may not have the ALCS or the World Series this year, but at least we'll always have Chaos Tuesday. (First-round polls are in the replies below.)

How to make the Yankees great again:
1) Fire Aaron Boone and Brian Cashman.
2) Fire the fitness staff.
3) Re-introduce the discipline.
4) Sign Ryan Jeffers, Luis Arraez and Seiya Suzuki.
5) Sign Trevor Rogers and David Bednar.
6) DH Aaron Judge full time.
Most of us are wrong sometimes. Nothing wrong with that. We’re human, after all.
Then there’s Ben Allbright. What you likely don’t know about him if unfamiliar with his work is that if you ever think he’s wrong - he’s not. That’s just a case of bad source or bad info.

Look, man. Al Michaels is a legend. But he’s in the “veteran wide receiver playing for the Tennessee Titans” stage of his career. It’s over.

Quick thoughts on MLB's 154-game schedule proposal. In short, I like it. I would love it if they went to 156 games and did something I wrote MLB should do over 10 years ago.
Expand to 32. Ditch the leagues. Go to four 8-team divisions based on geography. Yankees and Mets together. White Sox and Cubs. Dodgers and Angels, etc.
You play one series against the 24 teams in the other three divisions, alternating home and away each season, so you visit every park once every two years. That's 72 games.
You play the seven other teams in your division 12 times. Six home. Six away. That's 84 games.
156 total.
This plays into geographical rivalries. It leads to more familiarity with pitching in your division, which will increase offense. Larger divisions reduce the chance a team with a mediocre record wins it. Less travel for all involved since the divisions are based on geography.
Everybody wins.
You're welcome.
MLB has proposed returning to a 154-game Regular Season, best-of-seven Division Series, and opponent selection in the Wild Card and Division Series
Starting in 2029, shortening the season to a 154-game schedule would create a standard weekly off day benefiting player health, and it would allow the addition of up to 8 more Postseason games by moving to a best-of-seven Division Series format
Beginning in 2027, higher-seeded clubs in the Wild Card and Division Series would select their opponents

I have a lengthy and nuanced take in response to @RealMichaelKay’s takes this morning on Aaron Boone.
Michael’s position is that while it’s not only unacceptable to repeatedly lose in the division series, it’s worse when you consider you’re repeatedly losing to teams you outspend while looking BAD in the process.
He eventually goes on to conclude that Boone and Cashman being dismissed would lead to them being hired elsewhere, and I also find this point to be true.
Most importantly, Kay wants Yankees fans to know they have every right to be furious but wants fans to acknowledge the product isn’t terrible, it’s just limited. He goes on to compare the Yankees with the Mets, which absolutely favors the Yankees despite similar payrolls.
Now here is my take: If the Yankees lose this series (stats say they have a 91.2% chance of doing so) Aaron Boone should be relieved of his duties and I’ll explain why in depth now.
The Yankees very clearly don’t have a talent problem, they are repeat offenders of mentally folding when you need them most. In a one off year with an outlier lack in judgement, you could blame the players. But this is every year without let up. The New York Yankees will undoubtably be the least mentally sharp team on the field in any predetermined “test series” no matter the year or roster tweaks.
Moving on from Boone isn’t an equation of him not winning enough regular season games. It’s WHEN he loses his games (when it matters) and HOW teams he’s responsible to lead loses them.
Essentially they have no culture.
Think substitute teacher. If you asked the students who their favorite subs were, they’d tell you the teacher that threw on movies and let them text in class. Never the disciplinarian.
Hal Steinbrenner needs to hire who the Yankees’ clubhouse NEEDS, not who they WANT.

It happened again. The defensive collapse and silent offense Yankees have shown up once again in our lives. Brian Cashman, Hal Steinbrenner, and Aaron Boone have earned ZERO percent of your trust. The fans DEMAND an overhaul. We’re the stakeholders, we’re not happy.

This call alone epitomizes the level of officiating the Ravens have been subjected to this season; it’s starting to feel disproportionate.
Not only did the crew honor a late timeout, they also flagged Kyle Hamilton for roughing the passer on contact he couldn’t reasonably avoid.
This is awesome & I’m happy for Monk. He deserves this opportunity & some success
But man, you just know they’re going to fucking hate him when this thing inevitably goes South 😂
