To not have to backtrack, we jumped on one of the boats to be ferried across a short section of the lakes to continue on. The boats and trams make @PlitviceLakesNP very accessible for those less able to make the walk like us. Nature is for all to enjoy! #AdventuresWithBenAndKari

Our walk through @PlitviceLakesNP let us see almost all of the lakes. It was a rather stunning way to experience the park. #AdventuresWithBenAndKari

As we approached this waterfall, we noticed most people went low to look up at it while our trail went high. We were happy to continue on the trail less folks took to enjoy more views of this beautiful park. #AdventuresWithBenAndKari

We continued our journey throughout the park; sometimes on dirt and sometimes on wooden walkways. It was super peaceful out there. #AdventuresWithBenAndKari

As we got further away from the east access points of the trams and boats, we got a bit more solitude to enjoy the nature of the lakes. We found lizards and snakes plus loads of birds and fish. #AdventuresWithBenAndKari

We made the drive from Split to @PlitviceLakesNP to go for a nice walk. It was beautiful and a great way to spend the day! #AdventuresWithBenAndKari

Our group for our adventures out on the water: a family from Egypt, two gals from Ireland, James and Josh (two English lads), a couple from Spain/Italy?, and us. Fun group. We grabbed a couple drinks with James and Josh afterwards before heading home. #AdventuresWithBenAndKari

We said our goodbyes to Hvar and jumped back in the boat to head back to Split. It was a fun day out on the water! #AdventuresWithBenAndKari

After coming back down from the fortress, we wandered around the old town until we found some lunch. Sticking with what was working, I ordered some more ćevapčići albeit a bit classier this time. #AdventuresWithBenAndKari

The walk up to the old fortress gave us stunning views of the fortress, the old town, and the harbor. It was a great way to spend our time in Hvar! #AdventuresWithBenAndKari

We made our way up through the old town streets to see the old Spanish Fortress on the hilltop. #AdventuresWithBenAndKari

After our quick dip, we jumped back on the boat to head to Hvar, our final stop of the tour. On our way in, we passed a cruise ship ferrying people with little boats to and from the old town. #AdventuresWithBenAndKari

We did make it to a beach (Palmižana beach) to swim and snorkel. We opted to swim/float a bit, since the water was still a bit chilly. It felt refreshing after a lot of time on a boat. #AdventuresWithBenAndKari

Amongst our cave explorations, Stipe brought us to Stiniva beach, a secluded beach only really accessible by boat. It was a bit chilly to go for a short dip, so we only looked at it from a distance. #AdventuresWithBenAndKari

The light bouncing off the waves danced in a cool pattern on the walls of the cave. #AdventuresWithBenAndKari

To help with the fumes, they cut a couple small holes into the roof above, allowing light to peer through. They say if you touch the light that you’ll live to be 100yrs old. Wild! #AdventuresWithBenAndKari
