There are a lot of problems in the world but we're not talking about a huge one: how much your shower control just plain sucks
So I wrote a short manifesto...

Season one of my Kilopixel art project is complete! I wrote about what a surreal ride it was:

I built a ridiculous 1000 pixel display that takes an hour to draw an image and I'm now asking the internet to draw on it (what could go wrong?)
Please submit some 40×25 pixel art at kilopx.com!
I've had the good fortune to be #1 on HN all day and it's been driving traffic to my article and to kilopx dot com. The article has 5x the traffic as the app, but traffic to the article is slowing while the app traffic is increasing.
I suspect the article will start to fall off pretty quickly once it drops off HN, and I'm hopeful that the app itself will kee climbing as it's spread more places.

This has been a real passion project for me for six years. It's nuts. I shouldn't have done it, but I did. So please reward me, and go play with it!
If you want to read much more, I did a writeup on my blog that goes into a lot of the details.

Early in 2024 I partnered with another dev to build a product for privately hosting WP plugins. Support for themes will be added this week.
If you've been kicked off of .org or are interested in moving your plugins/themes off of .org, I'd love for you to beta test our product.
