Ballon D’Or winner! Always knew he had it in him 😉

Funny how there was that debate about Toure not actually being a good footballer and “just” scoring. #ncfc dreadful without him - no finesse on the ball, lack of ideas. I don’t think the “urgency” issue was a passion problem - they just look a bit… confused and sad.

One of my favourite ever interviews was being summonsed to Jeffrey Archer's penthouse apartment on the Thames where he called me a weirdo for liking challenging books and showed me the Monet he bought from the proceeds of Kane and Abel a month before he sold it for £3m.

His expensive-looking slippers were matched by his remarkable work ethic. He told me how he worked and he literally knew how long it took - to the hour - to write a bestseller. Seems like he died in between one of those two hour writing shifts. RIP.

Was such a weird part of mnc, this. Hart somehow managed to come across as someone who thought the whole process was conjecture and rumour. Er, there were quite a lot of official charges!

In what I might like to call the Northern Canaries glory years, MWJ was an absolute central figure in our meet ups with Delia and so on in random away pubs. A lovely man who knew what being a fan was all about. Rest In… Yellow and Green. #ncfc
Everyone at Norwich City is deeply saddened by the passing of our honorary life president, Michael Wynn Jones. Michael died peacefully at home on Monday morning, aged 85. He will be greatly missed. His family are grateful for the wonderful care provided by the community nursing team at St Elizabeth Hospice. Our deepest condolences are with Delia and Tom, and with all of Michael’s family, friends and loved ones. At the family’s request, we ask that their privacy be respected at this difficult time.

It was really interesting, particularly in combination with Nathan Jones and others last night having a real moan about the schedule / injuries. Maybe punchily rotating like we are will be the big marginal gain this season.
Last night’s chat with Philippe Clement is well worth a listen. It features the most detailed explanation of the information available to #ncfc when it comes to deciding how to manage minutes. Really interesting (I thought). bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/p0p8v0…

#ncfc look fine when it’s going well, and did enough to get a point, but there’s a bit of a lack of creativity in the middle of the pitch when we’re up against it. No.10 position an issue I think - perhaps maghoma will help that.

No reason to panic for #ncfc but it just feels a little like the players (and the manager to an extent) have gone 'we were good last season, it'll be ok', forgetting that the reason we were good was because you could trust that the players had real intensity in their work.

Given it appears to be trending... I would like to confirm I have not defected to Reform from the Tories!😬

Broke my pledge not to read the comments. Robbie was fascinating to spend time with, is not a plant, and was genuinely shocked by what he found. He’s made a mistake and owns it. As for “this was written by AI”… how very dare you!
After Robbie Lammas crossed the floor of Medway council to join Reform UK, he said he was joining a party that would “deliver the change Britain needs”. Eight months later, he exposes a toxic culture of racism, lies and infighting within Nigel Farage’s ranks ⬇️ telegraph.co.uk/news/2026/06…

I've had many dealings with Burnham - one quite spiky! - but he is fundamentally a decent guy. As was/is Kier Starmer, so it's now about good decision making, communication and delivery. Burnham is good on that stuff, but not so good on ignoring the noise. That's his challenge.

Utterly remarkable that #ncfc can go into the penultimate game of the season still with a chance of the playoffs. It’s slim, but we had 9 points in November!

I love swifts. So it was a great pleasure to go to the High Peak for The Telegraph and cover the story of their holes being concreted up by Network Rail. Hope there's a happy ending to this one in a few weeks' time. telegraph.co.uk/news/2026/04…

This is great from Huddersfield, and from Manning himself. I wish this had been spotted and acted upon far earlier at Norwich - not because we might have won more games, but because on a basic human level he clearly needed far more support in such a pressurised environment.
Men’s First Team Head Coach Liam Manning has been granted compassionate leave for the remainder of the 2025/26 Sky Bet League One season. Liam has the full support of everyone at Huddersfield Town, and we will remain in regular contact with him and those close to him. #htafc

Norwich City's X page simply says A Home For Everyone. It's positive, kind and welcoming. It shows how we can be better. Get that tifo out again against Ipswich.

Has it not been the case *all season* that Sarge wasn't actually supposed to be here really, and then trying to shoehorn everyone else into wide positions didn't work because they weren't wide players. Which, weirdly, was the situation when Sarge first came. We move on... #ncfc
🚨Philippe Clement says Josh Sargent texted him yesterday evening to declare himself unavailable for today’s game. Clement says it’s not an injury and club will decide what to do next. Full interview coming soon on @BBCNorfolk

I shall whisper it a bit but having seen #ncfc in the flesh twice in nine days now that result was coming a bit. Feels like lack of pace and creativity is causing issues. And having both Sargent and Makama on was a terrible idea.

Fascinating to see the reaction to my @Telegraph story that a small rural independent prep school had to launch a crowdfunder to stay open. They were successful - mainly because the local community backed the need for it. Nuance, eh?! telegraph.co.uk/news/2025/12…
