Remaking my case that ownership and use of an umbrella should require a licence and proficiency test.
London full of umbrella wankers:
- dawdling in packs like the rest of us aren’t all getting wet.
- not looking where they’re going - yeah thanks for your umbrella in my face!
Does anybody know what happens if you “add my number on WhatsApp”, with these “I have a job opportunity for you” scammers that seem to call me daily at the moment?
Copilot: of course I can add this to your calendar for you - please provide the event title, date, duration, location, etc.
Hmmm - maybe I'll just set it up myself?

Doesn’t this “may be busier than usual” effectively mean “it is likely we won’t have enough replacement buses available”?
And therefore beg the question “why not”? @Se_Railway
Buses being (too) busy is solved by having more of them - not by telling people to lump it!
Why is Stansted Airport so shit?
Like, it feels at many points like it’s deliberately so.
Like they’ve had experience designers in, seen the options for how to do things - and at every turn, deliberately picked the one that’s the worst customer experience available.
Brilliant seeing social media full of people revealing lots of details about their finances today.
“This new property tax should only kick in on houses worth £700k+” - may as well just say “my house is worth about £600k, and I’d prefer this didn’t affect me”…
This should be as socially unacceptable as lighting up a cigarette on public transport IMO.
A good start would be for train and bus companies to actually ban speakerphone use - to tackle the “where does it say I can’t do this” idiots.

If Americans’ comments on how to ‘improve’ football are annoying, wait till they see cricket in the 2028 Olympics.
I see the Americans who have recently discovered football, are now onto the "penalties are a bad way to decide a game" stage of their helpful advice on how to improve the world's most popular sport.
People who sit in other peoples’ reserved seats on packed trains, then refuse to move when challenged (especially with stupid excuses like “they told me all the reservations are cancelled”) - among the world’s absolute worst people.

The rising temperature of the planet will be the largest driver of forced migration this century. The people warning loudest about refugees are the same people doing nothing to stop the conditions that produce them. If you will not act on climate change you have no standing to talk about refugees.

It would be *much* more socially transformative to ban social media for over-65s
Heaven forbid an English team should slow the game down, dictate the tempo, etc.
Does anybody remember how Italian teams used to dominate European football in the late 80s and early 90s - doing exactly this? Agreed, it wasn't popular, but it worked.
I love the angle taken by @kenearlys on the Champions League final.
He’s absolutely right to dedicate so much time to how Arsenal waste time 🗑️
