Iran and China are succeeding because they have a large pool of academics and experts to draw from. Even Russia came this far because they built a base.
There’s a desperate need to first of all bring to date our curriculums, then drag the experts into our daily activities.

Above all, sweet sweet gists, I didn’t say gossips o 😅
Can we PLEASE normalize just hanging out at each other’s houses again? Why does every friendship meetup need to be a whole production, a restaurant reservation, and a $150 bill? I just want to sit on your couch, drink something, and talk for hours.

Although, to clarify. I don’t agree that everywhere is bleak. Parts of east and southern Africa are stable and with decent growth rates. Even parts of West Africa (Ghana, CIV, Benin)… Angola is chugging along.

Agreed. NG’s economic decline, esp, is agonizing. The insecurity challenges in the Sahel are real. Etc.
However to solve a problem, you need to diagnose it properly first
Most of the prevailing diagnostics on Africa are flawed, with bad data and deeply problematic assumptions

This is what billionaire ownership of the media means:
Mark Zuckerberg’s Meta shut down the No Kings account for hours during the height of their protests.
Meta suppressed accounts supporting Brazil President Lula da Silva in the recent election.
Larry Ellison’s TikTok blocked advertising for a documentary criticizing Elon Musk.
Fight back. Defeat oligarchy. Preserve democracy.

Gotti said when he first heard the beat he was like that’s alright, 50 ain’t gonna have the voice and lyrics to back it up, then he heard the first go go go shawty, and he knew they was fvcked lol
Jay-Z literally warned artists to hurry up and drop their music because 50 CENT WAS COMING. 😭 Four months later, In Da Club dropped and the whole industry had to sit back and watch. Do y’all understand how BIG 50 Cent’s arrival was?! This nigga had the industry preparing for him like a natural disaster. 😂

For those of you who are of the opinion that ‘it’s complicated’ you’ll find out that it isn’t. It’s Genocide. The intent is blatant.
Go see it.

Abdul El-Sayed on Iran:
War in Iran. Everybody could have told you this is a dumb idea.
There was really only one person in the whole world who's had a 40-year project to get us to fight this war.
He's a prime minister of another government.
And he finally found the dumbass who was willing to do it.
This is mental:
He did something legendary but couldn’t take credit for it for decades. He couldn’t live with it, kept going until he could take credit for it. I’m not sure if prison is worst for this guy than taking credit for that murda.
He desperately needed y’all to know.
The walls are closing in.
Su MBS gaskia anji kunya, yau Oga Sony ke koya maku adinin musulunci - babu shakka a time will come it is those who later accept it that will protect the deen and you-know-where.
There is a word in Arabic: muwalat.
It means loyalty, alliance, the taking of intimate allies from among those who are enemies of the community.
The Quran addresses it directly. Multiple times. With unusual specificity.
Not as a minor infraction but as a fundamental violation of the identity of a Muslim community.
"O you who believe, do not take My enemies and your enemies as allies."
The verse does not say: do not take them as allies unless they offer good security guarantees.
The verse does not say: unless they provide economic development partnerships.
The verse does not say: unless the alternative is political instability in your kingdom.
The Quran understood that there would always be material incentives for muwalat.
The material incentives are precisely why the prohibition is so strong.
The incentives are not a justification. They are the temptation that the prohibition exists to guard against.
Now look at the map.
Look at which Muslim governments have intelligence-sharing agreements with Israel.
Look at which Muslim governments coordinate militarily with the country providing Israel unconditional support.
Look at which Muslim governments have normalized, officially, the relationship that six decades of Arab political consensus said could not be normalized while occupation continued.
And look at which Muslim government is building missiles in underground facilities because it made the decision, forty-seven years ago, that muwalat was not an option it was willing to purchase with its sovereignty.
The Quran does not ask you to be Iranian.
It asks you to look at the map and answer honestly.
