It’s only when you get down to miniature person height at @bekonscot model village that you realise just how good the models really are; so I took these to compare. Greenhaily station (1:24 scale, in 1930s form) is based on Beaconsfield station on @chilternrailway (1:1 scale):

The oldest model village in the world is also a garden. Opened in 1929, @bekonscot is recognised by @bucksgardens as a historic (and lovely) garden in its own right (bit.ly/39B9pIw). Bekonscot also contains some rather wonderful miniature gardens and garden buildings.
