This year;
Every relationship I’ve build will grow stronger.
More opportunities will come my way.
I’ll keep the consistency going and keep learning.
I’ll be happier and smile the brightest.
Everyone around my radar that’s deserving will eat.
That’s 26 for me.
Inshallah.
Kujilisha huwa imenishinda because I’m a pour feeder to begin with💀💀
Uzuri naishi karibu na rafiki yangu na ni a matter of nihesabu kwa supper.

Culturally speaking, in a city as large and as diverse as Nairobi, it is strange that so many popular people are really uncool

1. Outside of Bien, Wakadinali, Khaligraph & the other big 3 rappers in this generation, music tastes, consumption and cultural relevance are not really monocultural. We've been having this debate since the mid 2010s and finding different ways of just saying the same thing.
The frustration is because people think that a monoculture is the magic wand that'll fix the structural issues in the industry. "we need one sound we can export" is very reductionist and anti-art.
2. I don't want to disparage gengetone,bit for lack of a letter term at this moment ,I'll use the term "gengetone math" where artists and fans operate on the money making model of having as many songs hit a million views and then doing concerts over playback every weekend , and a beverage or food product brand deal. Sooner or later,this usually leaves them exposed.
Those artists unasema hawajulikani beyond CBD are actually consummate live performers and prioritize quality shows that people keep coming back to and I love it because finally they're going to change the situation of musicians not having long sustainable careers.
