Humbled to be back at @EFDevcon, this time as a @shefiorg speaker!
Two years ago in Istanbul, I attended my first full crypto conference. I’d been crashing smaller events in Berlin, where I’d just moved, but never something this big. Devconnect was massive. I was there with our dev team, but still pretty much lost.
I remember spotting @maggielove_ & @OrnellaWeb3 at the venue, and with @calmonv’s heartening words, I found the courage to go up and say hi. I think I half ranted, “where have you been girls?” They were running around with a bag full of merch.
SheFi is everywhere because everyone who joins the community becomes a genuine advocate, for all the right reasons. It’s been amazing to see and be part of its growth since. A sincere thank you.
Excited for this summit, and there might be a surprise or two from @mentolabs. Cheers!

Sharing this scumbags tactics in case it helps someone.
We had mutuals. Thats the only reason I connected with him in the first place.
-Claimed he was from Deutsche Bank
-He had family pics all over the feed
-Had high engagement & tweets about this edu podcast idea
-Nudged me to move to TG and put me in a group with ppl from coinbase, paypal, etc
-He kept sharing TG stories with his kids
-Scrolled through his first 20 tweets were normal af, then at some point all in Japanese
-No personal links anywhere. No LI, nothing besides a company official site
When asked for an official email, ofc nothing
Insane that I only had a second thought after being added to a group with men in suits. My pfp looked hilarious haha

I got the most professional-looking scam ever!
A couple of weeks ago, I got a DM from a legit account of a @coinbase executive with an invitation to their new educational initiative for newcomers to working in web3.
We agreed via X messages, then they added me to the TG chat with 2 Coinbase reps and 2 more guests. Each had an old and active X account and ties to LinkedIn profiles.
Then, in the next 2 weeks, we were chatting about the podcast episode, they sent us an elaborate list of questions and instructions, and assigned recording slots.
I noticed that comms over email weren't through the official Coinbase account and asked to send some sort of verification for me.
Next thing I know - podcast cancellation over email.
Morale of the story - stay safe and triple check everything
