Allow me to rant- After being forced onto Medicare for a year and a half now, I am confident in saying it is the worst “healthcare” I have ever received or anyone could ever receive. I fully believe that the healthcare industry and our government simply want to suck as much money out of you before you die or before they kill you. I was sent an appointment reminder for a doctor’s visit which I had not made. (Am healthy with no notable concerns). I was told it was Medicare policy that I must attend. Showed up for the appointment to sit in the waiting room for an hour before being taken to an exam room. Someone weighed me and took my blood pressure then told me to wait for the doctor. The doctor arrived, obviously himself very sick, stating that his illness goes with territory. I told him I had no idea why I was there, he said Medicare was paying for it. Without asking any questions or examining me in any way, he looked at my chart and suggested that my blood pressure was higher than usual. Of course it was high, I missed work for an unnecessary appointment to be seen by someone who was most likely going to make me sick just so he could bill Medicare! Asked me if I wanted blood pressure pills. NO. Asked me if I wanted a mammogram. Yes, the same day you agree to putting your balls into a 40 lb radioactive vise to test for testicular cancer. I later learned that even if I did have a concern about my health, I was unable to discuss it with the doctor anyway during that appointment because it would have required a separate “paid” visit. Medicare and Medicare For All is a scam. Coverage for all but PROPER HEALTHCARE for no one.
