Hi @RozonNat, thanks for reaching out. You might be interested to learn that made with plant-based oils including canola and sunflower oil, Becel margarine is low in saturated fat and has no trans fat. It’s a great (and delicious!) addition to a heart healthy diet!

Hi @lovelisajo, thanks for reaching out. Though the majority of oils in Becel margarine are a blend of canola, vegetable and sunflower, our recipe includes a small amount of palm oil and modified palm kernel oil. We’ve worked hard to sustainably source the palm oil used.

Hi @icemanss73 you’ll be happy to hear this simply isn’t true. Margarine was created long ago in France, when Napoleon III demanded a substitute for butter. The Becel margarine recipe was developed after the medical community requested an alternative to existing spreads.

Thanks for commenting @KathyAlexiou, unlike butter, Becel Sticks require no softening, one of the many reasons they’re many Canadian baker's secret to baking made easy! Bakers can replace butter 1:1 with new Becel Sticks, an alternative with 50% less saturated fat than butter.
