The 6 largest publishers in the country, PRH, Hachette Book Group, HarperCollins Publishers, Macmillan Publishers, Simon & Schuster, and Sourcebooks, are all suing the state of Florida for censorship. They’re claiming Ron DeSantis’ new law is unconstitutional and has unfairly pulled hundreds of books pulled from school libraries following right-wing challenges. Florida Karens have been pulling books from Judy Bloom, Mark Twain, Ernest Hemingway, and Stephen King…and publishers have had enough. Are MAGA and Elon gonna start crying about this or nah?

Ori Danino, 25, was taken captive from the Nova music festival on October 7. Despite having escaped, Ori made the courageous decision to turn back and save others, sacrificing his own safety. After leaving the party with a car full of people, he asked his friend for the phone number of those they had just met, saying he was going back to rescue them. That was the last time his friend heard from him. His fiancée, Liel, last spoke to him at 8:34 a.m., when he told her he was driving like a maniac and that they would talk later. The three people Ori went back to save are known to have been taken hostage in Gaza. Ori, from an ultra-Orthodox family in Jerusalem, lived in Givat Zeev. He was engaged to be married this year. He gave his life trying to save others. May he rest in peace 💔

Hamas kidnapped him from a music festival after murdering hundreds of fellow concert goers in cold blood. They amputated his arm, tortured him for months in dark underground tunnels. Then they finally executed him. 23 years old. American citizen. Kidnapped and executed because he was Jewish. Hamas is a disgusting evil terror group and I will forever hate every single person who supports them

Hersh Goldberg-Polin is an American hero who will be remembered for his kindness and selflessness. Our hearts break for Jon, Rachel, and their entire family, as well as the other families who found out today their loved ones won’t be coming home. May their memory be a blessing.

All right folks, this is not a drill—who let JD Vance read an intro anthropology textbook??
NEW VANCE AUDIO: In an interview from 2020, JD Vance agrees with a podcast host who says having grandmothers help raise children is “the whole purpose of the postmenopausal female.” He also agrees when the host says grandparents helping raise children is a "weird, unadvertised feature of marrying an Indian woman."

With Trump still owing $800K to municipalities around the country to cover unpaid fees from his 2020 rallies, Asheville demanded their money up front. Most of this money Trump refuses to pay is used to cover police that towns have to pay overtime to. newsweek.com/trump-campaign-…

Breaking: Jewish students who sued UCLA won a preliminary injunction against UCLA. The administration is prohibited from allowing the exclusion of Jewish students in areas of campus and can no longer tolerate terror enthusiasts harassing Jewish students.

My other hot take about that Cut piece is that we need to stop shaming people for rehoming animals. It should be ok to say you can no longer care for a pet and surrender it without people telling you you’re a horrible person, because that’s infinitely better than abuse/neglect
