British shops move to kill off paper receipts in 'Paperless Pledge'

Holland & Barrett, River Island and Dunelm are the first chains to sign up to the 'Beat the Receipt campaign'. Currently, around 30million receipts are printed daily with most thrown away.

Trees are one of our best defences against #GlobalWarming, but planting more isn't going to save us. Reforestation is a long-term solution for an immediate crisis - it's not good enough. We need to end deforestation now & keep our trees in the ground where they belong!🌳

Reforestation is a complicated topic, but it's got really great potential to help us undo some of the damage we've caused. But these sequestration solutions can only be effective if they're accompanied by a serious reduction in emissions and consumption in the global North 🫖
